I main Yang, Ryu, Alex, but know my way around the roster well.
I'd say Dudley and Yang are stronger than Urien...

Yang is definately not higher than Urien. Urien with Meter to burn on EX or super and Urien with Ageis on screen is real dominant! Yang is great, I should know, but Urien's Great grab range, Unblockable setups, safe headbutt on wake up and possesing the best projectile in the game puts him ahead IMO.

Although a lot is debateable..

Every List I see has Yang higher than Urien whom is mid-high.. Obviously Urien is probably enhanced by the GGPO netcode, but on arcade he was NEVER ahead of Yang..

Well I wasn't even refering to online play cuz Urien is way better as a result takes a whole lot of advantage with online lag behind his play lol!

Anywho, I still believe Urien is better than Yang in tier listing. But again teir lists are debatable. What console do you play 3S on? Or do u GGPO?

Keep in mind that tier lists change with new technology discovered with each character. Some of those tier lists are very, very old.

SF3:TS just got re-released this very year with tons of new players coming in. That alone is going to alter the tiers. So many fresh minds in the game, it'd be impossible for the tiers not to change.

THat latest tier list was basically 8 years after release.. I would agree if we are talking about Online edition, but when a talking about the format on arcade I believe by that time almost all possible strategies have been exhausted.. You see tourneys even today, it's basically a Yun and Chun fest over and over..

I think with yang is that he has very strong hitconfirm normals and 2 good superarts to work with... Urien is definitely a monster with Aegis REflector and shoulder charge juggle, but his footsies are nowhere on par with the twins, which are one of the many reason both are studs in this game,,

1. Yun is a "stud" because of GENEI-JIN, it's damage output and every attack having priority as a result, Plain and simple.

2. Super Art 2 is yangs only viable super at his disposal. SA 1 is worthless and SA3 and inconsistent and more importantly denies yang of his most important tool in his bag, and that's EX torou-zan. SA2 gives him plenty meter to burn and thus more options to work with, hit confirm super after target combo Mp-Hp-back Hp and plenty of meter for EX'ing and punish an oppenent's whiff normals.

3. Uriens pokes and footies are great! Charge partitioning the Headbutt and chariott tackle are insane and hard to react to, he has a solid sweep for easy knockdown oki game with perfect high low tools to exploit, and has the most rediculous jumping HK in the game. His metallic sphere gives him control of both air and ground space regardless of parry as he recovers very quick from it.

Urien's footsies are mediocre... And Genei-Jin is the second best SA in the game but it's not the ONLY reason he's a great character.. Like chun in certain senses, Yang has hitconfirms that link torou-zan with normals and it does decent damage and stuns to opponents.. All I'm saying is that Yang is great for more reasons than one... His command grand to BNB palm combo to SA II is amazing as well.. But I can't stress that him being one of the top 3 quickest characters in the game puts him at an advantage to the majority of the cast.. I think in some cases he's even better than Yun...

Although I do agree that Urien has amazing pokes.. Both Yang and Urien seem to be weak against the top 5 characters though.. Yun, Chun, Makoto, Ken and Dudley..
