View Active Topics problem?

The View New Posts only gives me two pages. At least all the Posts and not just brand new Topics are listed. However, It is not useful when you come back and revisit the Forum after looking at another site unless you stay logged in. View New Posts will not list anything even New Posts that you never opened! Only New Posts appear I think from the time you temporarily left the Forum.

I really don't want to slug thru every sub category just to read all the current discussion.

I prefer View Active Topics, it gives more then two pages with the newest replied post at the top. The View Active Topics is still broken and only lists the Charity Auction. If the View Option is changed to view a Year, the Forum Guidelines also pop up. Strange how only these two Threads are the only ones that show, both are Stickies.

Note that anyone who is not logged in such as visitors cannot get to the View New Posts option. This might slow down the total amount of visit hits Racketboy gets which is not good. This bug really needs fixed! Since there is still a problem, a suggestion for the interim.

Can a Mod change View New Posts to permanently show the Newest Ten Pages? Also might be good to unlock View New Posts for any visitor?

That's not what I'm using. None of the "view unanswered/view active/view new/view your" at the top.

Choose a section with a different colored icon to indicate 'unread posts'
Click 'view first unread post' icon next to a topic that looks interesting or I've been reading before
Read posts I haven't read before
Click back to the forum section with the link following 'board index'
Read more topics
Click on 'mark topics read' when it is down to drug threads and stupid crap I don't care about

Choose another section

This lets me see every new post since the last time I read a thread or marked that section as all done.
