Which Sega Genesis / Megadrive Model Do You Prefer?

Model 2, it's a workhorse there's no doubt about that. I'm often tempted though to purchase the Model 3 just because of how little space it takes up.

I can't vote. There are too many hardware revisions inside the Model 1 and Model 2 machines.

A fast search in eBay say that a CDX lot can be buy by not more that US$ 150... it's a fair price?

Model 1. As silly as the headphone jack idea was, I loved it.

No I think the 3rd one was US only. I think the original one is possibly the best looking console ever. I really like the chunky design and mount it on a Mega CD and it looks even better

megadrive 2 for me. I have a boxed megadrive 1 here.

We never got the 3.

I used to have a 32X, megadrive 2 and mega cd 2 but my sister threw them out! stupid bitch.

Model 1 I always thought the model 2 looked horrible, same with the model 2 on almost any system.

I have the Model 2 Genesis, and the 32X attachment (Toys R Us Clearance bin, $30 yeah!) Anyway, I like the polished, symetrical look of the Model 2, and the 32X looked best when attached to that model IMO. Never had a Sega Genesis CD, but always wanted that CDX unit like mad. My parents just scoffed at the price of it at the time, so I never had one.
