Re: Dungeon Defenders
Stock changes after every round.
We beat it last night, but since it was for sale today on steam, I got a copy for my girl, and all the DLC for both of us. Let me just say, that boss was painful two player. He kept oneshotting all of our defenses. Then I realized what I needed to do - build Magic Missile turrets pointing outward. Sure he has alot of health, but the turrets were hitting for 1.3k per and 3 shots a second... Good fun.

Re: Dungeon Defenders
I got upto some court level? The level with all the entrances and tight corridors was especially crazy. You would think having corridors would make it easy BUT NO.Sheer numbers of orcs and that just destroy everything quick time.
Im only on easy at the moment but I will be notching the difficulty up once i get a bit better gear. And having 2 crystals to defend is just nasty,Almost as nasty as playing 4 player then the 4th guy quits mid way and leaves 3 people fighting 4 peoples worth of green!
Plus I must look at this dlc I bought.I like the idea of the warping challenges.

Re: Dungeon Defenders
Unlocked the final set of levels tonight.Struggled on court yard for a while,The wyverns couldnt be stopped.Luckily a lvl 70 huntress jumped in and destroyed the lot of them.
I still cant get over how mental and intense this game gets,But yet is so easy to play and in a weird kinda way chilled out.
I finally learned about upgrading my pet, weapons and armour.Life is a bit easier now.I will be finishing the last set of levels and then look into the challenges section.
What is the general rule on drops?I mean if its crap do i bother picking it up?Cos at the moment im picking em up then selling em at the end of the wave,But apparently you get the mana for just leaving them on the floor.I cant say ive ever noticed a difference?
Also the stock in the shop is always rubbish.

Re: Dungeon Defenders
Everyone who has completed the game, I hope you have been to your tavern and grabbed your christmas gifts!
Ive tried the free christmas dlc and managed to just beat it on medium. Its a good mode if you have a team willing to work together.A few lvl 70s help aswel.I need to try do it on hard to unlock the santa outfit for my character.
Im slowly starting to upgrade all my characters slowly.I would like a lvl 70 odd character though if for nothing more than a fallback guy.

Re: Dungeon Defenders
Ooops looks like its just me keeping this thread alive.
Oh well anyway, There's new chargeable DLC for this again. We have the Barbarian character and a assault pack aswel. Both are reduced for launch.
From what i've played the Barbarian is hardcore. You dont build defenses,Instead you get buffs for attacking etc.You have two weapons in either hand and the left trigger is to swing the left weapon and same as the right. No blocking from what ive seen.
He is a great character but only in a well organized team i suspect.
The assault dlc is more of the attack them scenarios. The levels do look quite stunning and bring a breath of fresh air to the whole game.I finished them but only on medium just to scope them out.
Upon finishing all 3 acts you unlock a pet rainbow unicorn.
Im glad this game is still getting constant dlc, But all the updates are killing my disk space.I had 2 totalling over a gig in just a few hours.Spose thats the joy of pc gaming!

Re: Dungeon Defenders
I actually meant to post here yesterday but got distracted and forgot about it. I know thread is about the PC version but I didn't think this news warranted a thread of its own.
The console versions are not getting any DLC other than the Lost Eternia Shards. As much as I like having local multiplayer on the console, I sure am wishing that I bought the game on PC now. I suppose I did get my $15 out of the game but I still feel a little bit cheated.
Basically from what I have gathered on this thread, it is too difficult to patch and release their DLC on XBLA so they are scrapping most of their DLC altogether for the consoles.

Re: Dungeon Defenders
Ive gotten my primary mage to 72, but getting better equipment is difficult, so I am just leveling up other characters to 50ish. I was working through the challenges, but my friends only want to play on insane or nightmare, Id rather just play on hard - especially on spider stages, I HATE the spiders

Re: Dungeon Defenders
Another patch and new free dlc for valentines is up
7.16 Update Notes
* Added "Assault Mission Pack" premium content, free for owners of the 'Lost Eternia Shards Complete DLC'
* Added "Barbarian Hero Class" premium content
* Added "Hardcore Mythical Defender", "Dungeon Raider", and "Mythical Dungeon Raider" Accomplishments & Steam Achievements
* Added one-button "Sync All Items to DefenderStore.com", and no longer pops up Steam Overlay after you login to the site!
* Added 'Mythical Defender' reward! 'Outlander' costume with special ability
* Added Item-Box/Hero-Shop "Folder" support (& subfolders too), and Item Drag-&-Drop support
* Added "Q" key to toggle "Front View" mode where you can view the front of your character and rotate around them for tasty pics
* Added "H" key to Toggle HUD visibility
* Added UI Option to disable controller rumble feedback
* Made Hardcore mode available in all Difficulty settings
* Hardcore mission completions now save and are visible in your completion stats
* Fix for network bandwidth issue involving high-attack-rate projectile towers: tower projectiles are now locally spawned and locally-calculated client-side, completely elminating their bandwidth cost.
* Spider Webbing no longer stacks on players, you can only be webbed once-at-a-time
* 'Group Hug' Achievement can now optionally be earned using the corresponding Gender-Swapped Heroes
* Fixed bug where Squire's Blood Rage damage resistance calculation was inverted, erroneously making him take MORE damage as the Blood Rage stat was level updated. This is resolved, and now e.g. 1800 point Blood Rage will cut incoming damage by about 50%, enabling better Squire tanking especially on the high-end.
* Reduced Healing Ramp Cost by 20% (less Healing Cost per HP increase), and reduced Healing Cost by a straight 40% in NM
* Darkness Trap now strips mobs of elemental immunity, and reduced DU cost to 5
* Player Shop Maximum Item Sale Cost is now correctly 200,000,000 (the UI was previously erroneously limiting the number to 8 digits, preventing reaching this maximum)
* Fixed the cost of upgrading "Halloween Spooktacular!" items, now is the same as other equivalent items
* Fixed another kind of 'Return-To-Tavern-Crash' (perhaps the last)
* Buffed Squire Circular Slice damage ramp by 15%, Reduced its cooldown by 1 second, and increased its animation speed by 25%
* All Squire Towers HP buffed by 60% in NM, Harpoon Turret rotate speed increased by 40%
* Eliminated Speed Boosts in NM Assaults
I tried the dlc for valentines and for some reason it runs really, really bad.I get choppy gameplay and constant slowdown. It bugs me as I just want to try it out.Anyone else have any issues?
This game aswel really needs to be put on vita. But then on the flipside all these updates are getting more annoying.
