Re: Nintendo 3DS
Never owning a DS, one of the bonuses for me in getting a 3DS is the huge library that comes compatible with the 3DS. Just grabbed a complete (with map) Chrono Trigger for $14.
Does the newer 3DS firmware display DS games in their native resolution or do you have to hold down certain buttons on startup to get the best display?

Thanks man. Bought some hori screen protectors.Inazuma wrote:I spent a good few dollars on buying official Hori brand 3DS screen protectors, and I'm glad I did.
They aren't like your everyday simple screen protectors. It's a bit complicated and difficult to figure out how to put them on, but it works great.
Hey, I found a nice tutorial video, in English too!
What map..? I believe the DS version just came with a poster.retrosportsgamer wrote: Just grabbed a complete (with map) Chrono Trigger for $14.

^ Meant poster - sorry, was going off memory this morning and didn't have the sale in front of me.

That was what spurred my decision to buy as well. It'll be nice because in a couple of years DS games will be dirt cheap.retrosportsgamer wrote:Never owning a DS, one of the bonuses for me in getting a 3DS is the huge library that comes compatible with the 3DS.

I just thought I'd let everybody know...
Gamestop has a decent deal on the Zelda 3ds bundle. If you order the Zelda-themed 3DS console (the one that comes with OoT) you get a $20 gift card as well.
It's an online deal only.
Here's the link. I know everyone hates GS but I couldn't find this 3DS anywhere in stores in my area. And hey... I don't have a problem getting an extra $20.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
The new System Update is out, and its pretty cool. It adds a sequel to StreetPass Quest/ Find Mii which is proving quite funny, and also rather more in depth than the original. There's team combos, potions and other interesting stuff I havent fully explored yet.
It also has more Puzzle Swap panels, including annoying ones which can't be bought using play coins (how do you get them then?). Streetpass Plaza also adds achievements, a sound test, and a map of the regions of people you've passed.
There's also 3D Video recording added to the 3DS Camera mode, and I also noticed a 'Join Friend's Game' option in the friends list.
Definitely liking what I see here, get downloading guys!

Re: Nintendo 3DS
Ive done alot of street pass and found that with a friend you could get a panel that they did not have if you had alot of the same panels. Meaning, if both of you had all the outside panels, you would get a random inside one. I imagine that will be the case with these, OR you will unlock them via Find Mii.alienjesus wrote:It also has more Puzzle Swap panels, including annoying ones which can't be bought using play coins (how do you get them then?).
I am glad they added more to Find Mii, I have finished the castle four or five times now (still missing a hat though).

How are you missing a hat in Find Mii? After two runs you should have all of the original ones :S.fastbilly1 wrote:Ive done alot of street pass and found that with a friend you could get a panel that they did not have if you had alot of the same panels. I didn't know about that with Find Mii. Is that just the new ones? I've only ever been able to get panels my friend actually has.
