If all internet companies switch to this plan it will slow down infrastructure.

Bottom line is that we need more fiber optics laid down. But these companies want to milk even more money for offering less.

Heck, way back these companies chartered down what "Broadband" actually was.

Our computers for OIT at in the lab get an A+ with like 130 down 80 up. It's freaking insane.

Whereas we get this for the residence halls.

I get about 30mbit, which translates to about 1.7-2.2mbytes per second. It's fast enough for me (for now). I live in Texas, btw.

meh. The provider who decides to do this will lose a bunch of customers. (You can switch service providers, y'know?)

Only one in my area. Comcast. Verizon Fios isnt here yet.
