No idea, all I know is that humans didn't look human in Oblivion.

Was there a human race in Oblivion? I remember the Imperials were the closing looking thing to Humans, they look like Indians to me =) at least the one I made.Xeogred wrote:No idea, all I know is that humans didn't look human in Oblivion.![]()

The Imperials, Redguards, Bretons, and Nords are the human races. The Bosmer, Altmer, Dunmer, and Orcs are the elf races. The Khajit and Argonians are the beast races.AdamGomez1987 wrote:Was there a human race in Oblivion? Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
You know what's missing from Skyrim (and Oblivion & Morrowind for that matter)? Unique/epic items. Once you get to a certain level, it's easy to find the most powerful stuff (Ebony and Daedric) or simply create it. And then from there you can also enchant the hell out of it.
There really should be more unique weapons, armor, and spells that you have to quest for, or meet a certain character to get, or beat a boss, or something. It would add more depth and more drive to do more. Because the way it is now, once you get your character to a certain point, what's the point?

Well, you have the Daedric items and several items from certain quests. The problem is that if you put in a crafting system it works at cross purposes with your unique items. Either the unique items are the best in the game, which makes the crafting system pointless, or you let the crafted items be the best (possibly after a lot of work), at which point some people decide it's easier to grind crafting than quest for a unique item.BurningDoom wrote:You know what's missing from Skyrim (and Oblivion & Morrowind for that matter)? Played the cat race and made a mage. I'm not getting the hang of it, I'm at level 4 and when I shoot dual wielding destruction fire bolts at my enemy, they still come and own me. I think I may go back to Oblivion >< that or play some Dragon Age I and II.

Your spells get more powerful, and later ones get more range as well. I dunno, I found magic to be fairly strong, though I usually had a sword equipped to back up the flamethrowerAdamGomez1987 wrote:Played the cat race and made a mage. Yeah, something might not be right... lol. I hear pure mages are practically invincible.

Magic has a weird bell curve- spells start weak, then become godly mid-game, then once you start using the upper-level spells it's a five minute rain dance to shoot a fireball.
