Love For Video Game Music!!!
I am sitting here downloading and listening to some Trance and checking out the site. It got me thinking. There have been some pack-in OST on some of these Limited Edition RPG's. I own a few from Atlus but never listen to them. I love music, but game music, not so much. It just isn't the same when it is not in the context of the game. Only one game that I thoroughly enjoyed and actually went out of my way to find and buy the OST. That game was FINAL FANTASY VI or III when it was originally released on the SNES here in the US. Still listen to it today and some of the tracks are currently on my iPod. Anyone in here like game music enough to actually import the OST???

I own about 40 or so OSTs, but many of them are the SonMay or equivalent HK versions. Stuff like Ico, Final Fantasy VI, Symphony of the Night, The Black Mages, Chrono Trigger and the Kingdom Hearts soundtrack are amongst my favorites that I bought.
Downloaded OSTs, well that's another story. I think I'm around 300+ and counting.

I haven't personally put on any video game soundtracks just to listen to but that's about all my kids will play. (I know I mention them frequently- can't help it - they're a huge part of my life!) Their favorites are Metroid Prime, Pokemon FR/LG, and Paper Mario TTYD. I definitely don't mind listening when they're rocking out. It's all good stuff, even out of context.
Yeah, don't worry about it, xraydash. They sound like good kids.xraydash wrote:I haven't personally put on any video game soundtracks just to listen to but that's about all my kids will play. Um, basically, I listen to game music more than any other kind of music. I don't believe it only "works" from within the confines of the game.doctorfugue wrote:Or point us to another thread where your stance exists.xraydash wrote:Indulge us again.Mozgus wrote:Everyone probably already knows my stance.
