by means is the dude the be all to end all. i just like different/weird shit from time to time.
I can dig the first and third one but the second one not so much. It comes to this genre, I prefer Necro over everything.

the recent Hip Hop Is Dead discussion got me on a kick.
Now which one is better?

Necro is an amazing producer. But rhyme-wise, he's so hit or miss. I love Gory Days though. That's a great album. I have a lot of his stuff, but I have to really be in the mood.

is that even a question?

It Was Written certainly has its moments though. "The Message" blows me away every time. "Affirmative Action" is amazing, and combined with its remix shows that The Firm could have really been far better than their album let on.

At any rate, I think YOU would really like Stillmatic, if you don't have that one yet?

To me, I can just put his stuff in my stereo and just go with it whenever. Obviously there will be certain situations where it's a no go on the Necro. He is releasing an EP called the Murder Murder Kill Kill EP which has a really great cover

and a collaborative album with Kool G Rap called The Godfathers in 2012. Can't wait for those.

To be honest I really prefer It Was Written to Illmatic because of that intro that really just sets up the entire album and "Take it in Blood" is just ridiculous. I have Stillmatic and I remember enjoying it but it has been a long while since I gave it a listen.

that cover art is amazing! Wow. I haven't kept up with Necro since Prefix For Death/Sexorcist era really.

I don't think I've ever met anyone that preferred It Was Written. I like it a lot, but Illmatic is... Illmatic. Haha. But I can respect yr opinion. I can see why you'd like it so much anyway.

I was going to say the same thing about the cover. That is freaking awesome looking.
