What's the deal with PS2 guitars on PS3?
Thinking about nabbing a cheap Guitar Hero PS3 set for my wife and I to play (sort of a Xmas gift for both of us). For a second guitar, I'm curious if I can just get a PS2 guitar and use my PS2-->PS3 adapter with it. Will this work? Will I have to stick to a wired PS2 guitar to avoid lag?

rock band guitars will work since they're usb....
I remember there being some good converters for PS2 rockband guitars, but I can't remember the site I was looking at...I believe the word Ant was somewhere in the URL

it's probably easier for me to just nab a couple of PS3 guitars eh? Anyone know where (besides eBay) I could score a couple of cheap ones?

My Pelican PS2>3 adapter has a special mode for GH2 instruments. I know there was something funky that required it, but since I don't play GH I don't remember what it was.

yeah it sounds like you need the expensive Pelican if you wanna be failsafe. So I'm thinking it's wiser to just opt for actual PS3 guitars instead.Hobie-wan wrote:My Pelican PS2>3 adapter has a special mode for GH2 instruments. I seriously see all sorts of GH and RB guitars at every goodwill I hunt through EVERY ONE and they are dirt cheap. If you have one near you I suggest you take a peek. I have seen them for every console.
