I do. When \I first clicked into this, it said 1000, then the second time it said 999, now it says 1000 again. It's kinda odd.
EDIT: Is someone erasing stuff for funsies?

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
TO GET BACK ON TRACK .............

Boom Blox - $7.00 Swap Meet
This gem usually is passed over as just another shovel ware game. Anyone who owns a Wi should get this "Destroy the blocks" game. There is also a sequel called Boom Blox Bash Party, I may have to pick up later.

I recently updated the review with Wii Head Tracking information.

DDR Plastic Metal Pad - $25.00 Garage Find
No not a regular Garage Sale, but spotted while driving after dropping son off to school. A very lucky chance find, the owner just happened to have the garage door open. The DDR arrow pads just stood out on the shiny plastic in the morning sun. He wanted fifty bucks for it, I offered twenty. He said it actually belonged to his brother and would call me later. After waiting for a few hours, got the phone call and brother agreed to go half price for $25.00. The MX Plastic Steel Pad is so much better then a regular flimsy DDR pad, a very solid near Arcade quality construction!
This pad at the Website goes for $199.95 before shipping.

PSX DDR Pad
I'm glad this has the PSX connector. The Playstation controller is the most versatile, there are adaptors for a lot of other consoles. I wish the diagonal arrows were the Circle and Cross buttons, for that matter include the Triangle and Square as well. Oh well, if I need the buttons for scrolling thru a menu I can always temporarily swap to a regular controller. It does have small Start and Select buttons on the lower right, hopefully these survive the foot stomping.
An Easy Mod
I remember Frys had a similar one for $149.00 years ago, so I never bought one back then. There are a few screws missing at the bottom, I replaced them after I took the pic, M4 metric panheads. Note the rubber feet, keeps the pad raised to protect the wiring. The cables all connect to RCA jacks, designed for easy pad replacement repair. Each pad can be individually unbolted. I can switch the pad position by simply swapping wires or unscrewing a pad. This is useful for a different layout or if I want to play a joke on another player.
My other DDR stuff: http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... 79#p338479

Vectrex Collection - $50.00 Swap Meet
Two More Vectrex - $20.00 Each Swap Meet
I mentioned my Vectrex collection before but never posted a pic. Well here they are, bought at different Swap Meets. Not bought at a Video Game specialty stall, just the older "Clean out the Attic" used dusty stuff aisles. The collection was a very rare find, almost all the games with Boxes, Manuals, Color Inlays and even the Inlay Paper Holders! I'm missing the Lightpen, Lightpen games and the elusive 3D Imager Glasses. See if you can spot a Color Wheel and the two 3D game carts.
The other two Vectrex "Black n White TVs" were bought for twenty bucks each! I modded a couple of 3rd party Apple II+ Potentiometer Joysticks, they actually work! A luck that the joysticks had the extra left and right buttons, perfect for the Vectrex four buttons. Okay why the Atari 2600 driving paddle? For the Spinnerama game cart which has Vectrex games recoded for Spinner gameplay. There is a nice Homebrew Omega Chase included that replicates the Spinner Arcade Omega Race.
My favorite out of the stack? One thing where the Vectrex rules is the Space games! I love the "Floating Physics" of the rockets, having to spin and thrust to stop the forward momentum. So many to decide on including Web Wars, Fortress of Narzode, RipOff, Star Castle and others. I would say it would have to be Space Wars! I always loved the original giant cabinet by Cinematronics, but there is no way I can afford that huge monster in money or room. The Vectrex gives me a more manageable size with a real Vector screen.
I'll cover more on the Vectrex later in the Portable Games Guide

Actually my find of the day is a cool little Protoman figure that was on clearance for a dollar who will now accompany me at my desk.
EDIT: ^Holy Vectrex CRT! I've always kind of wanted a Vectrex but never wanted to spend as much as the tend to go on one, hope I can find a nice deal like that!

This happened once in another thread, someone was at the top of 1000, then they sunk below. Don't know why, whether it's a bug or if the mods are playing a practical joke.wclem wrote:Hey, am I really a dummy then?dsheinem wrote:I don't know what you are talking aboutwclem wrote:Am I the only one that noticed there is no page 1000, though I could just be a dummy?
Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
After my $6.99 Confidential Mission (Dreamcast) score, I got it in 2 days from Colorado (fast!) and I quickly realized I needed a gun, not just for that, but for HOTD2 and VC2 (on Sega Smash Pack)
I wanted the Dream Blaster by MadCatz (after hearing bad stuff about the other guns and how heavy and inaccurate they were) -- seeing how it was the "official" North American product... lots of good items on Ebay but pretty expensive.
This one comes in to $22.95 with shipping. Not bad considering they go by themselves pre-ship $20 and UP
