Realized I needed a pad for the PS2 and picked this one up rather inexpensively today:

that's the exact fight pad I use. I got a cheapo PS2/USB adapter and it's what I'm always pounding away on for fight nights. I love that thing.

I also have the MadCatz PS3 wireless version of that (also Chun-Li). It's a bit bigger than the PS2 one, which is nice. But it's also a lot lighter. I'd probably use it far more often if it were rechargable like the DualShock3 rather than requiring AA batteries. :?

tl;dr: nice score! I love that fightpad!
Awesome! I'm pretty stoked now. I'm thinking I should get the box and everything also. I like the blue over the red sticks of Ryu, Ken and Akuma (plus some of those were $30 - why pay that when $12 is an option with a chick on the pad?)

yeah, Chun-Li was my main back in the SNES SF2 days. Since, I've always used her in some capacity in future SF games, and Capcom Vs games, etc. So when it came time to get a PS2 pad, this was an obvious choice. My wife got it for me for Valentine's Day, and I leave the box displayed on my gaming shelf.

Same question applies to Arcana Heart 3.
Someone buy the PSN AH3, and I will gladly test it with them. :P

I think there is a good chance it will work. I believe all the Aksys games may use the same/similar netcode from what I have heard.

Also, can't wait for BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend!!!

also guys, I'd like to bring up the definition of Budget thing again since I haven't gotten much feedback on it. Our options:

$20 and under: this would basically be Greatest Hits titles (Tekken 6, Soul Calibur IV), older used games (MK vs DCU, BlazBlue, SF4), and most PSN titles (SSF2THDR, MvC2). This would be the super-cheap camp. But I think we've basically decided beyond this since we're all pretty into the idea of MvC3 and Arcana Heart 3 being included...

$30 and under: this opens things up a lot more and seems to basically be where we're at right now with including Arcana 3 and MvC3 in our list...

$40 and under: is maybe pushing the definition of "budget"... thoughts? On one hand, it opens up a handful of budget-friendly new releases (Ultimate MvC3, Tekken Hybrid, etc) but on the flip it also means that a $40 release may be less likely to picked up as an impulse buy just to play for fight night, so it could mean less of us show up....

It's definitely worth reminding folks that its Budget Fight Night - not Fight Night (KOF XIII - lets do this!)

I like picking up a title for under $30 if we're all going to play and I can be someone's sparring partner to beat up on.

All those $40 and up games...will be $30 or less in a few months. As there are plenty of quality titles well under $30 - lets stay there.

Thus, lets book KoFXIII for May.

What about Battle Fantasia? Or not good enough?
I love SSF4, but I feel like a lot of us play it a lot anyway. So I'm looking forward to playing other things. I wish there was a PS3 Guilty Gear too!

HEY! I didn't even know about Battle Fantasia. It looks pretty cool. How much is it on PSN? I'll add it to the list in the first post and can include it on a future poll.
I think the titles, particularly physical titles should be set a few weeks in advance - so as to we have time to acquire said games.

that's a good point, Mike.

I think I'll redo the poll to reflect as such.

Sorry I missed the fun last night, had a rough work day and needed some time to unwind.
