Video Game "Look what I found"
Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
It's PS3 only, so you may be SOL. I would sell it too, since it's exclusively wireless, which is a deal breaker for fighting games, IMO.

Please let me knoW! Sorry for the sideways pic!
Nice find. I have the Xbox version, which came bundled with Tekken 6. The 360 one does not use a receiver dongle, just uses 2 AA batteries. Don't have a PS3 so can't say if it needs one or not.
OK build, probably considered lower quality for stick purists, but great for casual play.

I'd be super happy to find that stick for $3 since I don't play fighting games.

Exactly. It might work ok for shmups. Not that the PS3 has many worthwhile shmups... but yeah, it's only 3 bones! If you don't like it I'm sure you could sell it for at least $10. Not having the USB dongle is a prob thoughHobie-wan wrote:I'd be super happy to find that stick for $3 since I don't play fighting games.

yeah, i've emailed Hori to see if they will sell me one by itself. Id like to get like trade it before i sell it tho. Or maybe i will hold onto it as this is the first time ive ever had it.
It is a bit of a risk testing it however, when i opened the battery pack it had corroded batteries in it. So im doubting if it actually works. But there are no scratches or dents anywhere else. I see barely any signs of use.

If the parts and repair prove too costly you can easily mod it by soldering the switches to a PCB of a regular controller. I recommend gutting a PS1 controller which can easily be hooked up to various consoles with the wide range of adaptors available.

Does it make sense to count downloadable games though?
When I refer to all the great RPGs on Wii, I'm not talking about the ones on virtual console.
I do wish the PS3 had more physical shmups.

alright so something like Gundamonium, you wouldn't consider a "PS3 game" because it's downloadable?

Oh no I certainly agree that it's a game. But let's say hypothetically I had to write an article called "Best PS3 Shooters" I probably wouldn't include downloadable games, especially since it's uncertain as to whether such games will even be available in the future. I just wish there were some more physical shmups on PS3. Even some compilation of old games would be nice.noiseredux wrote:alright so something like Gundamonium, you wouldn't consider a "PS3 game" because it's downloadable?
