Re: Arcade Fight Stick
you want a stick that will play the game for you? Why not just watch the Attract Mode?AdamGomez1987 wrote:Is it possible to see the various options? Re: Arcade Fight Stick
Because in UMVC3, mashing those buttons together is extremely difficult, I try on the regular PS3 controller and I'm too delayed no matter how fast I try.noiseredux wrote:you want a stick that will play the game for you? sounds like you just need some practice, Adam. An arcade stick isn't going to improve your timing.

I guess so, Jill's extremely difficult to use in UMVC3, well, what is one of the most expensive PS3 arcade stick? (I'm assuming it's around less than the $300 area unless we're talking about collectors items )noiseredux wrote:sounds like you just need some practice, Adam. Re: Arcade Fight Stick PlayStation 3
This thread on SRK has a good run down of all your options.
The Madcatz Tournament Edition ($150) sticks are the best bang for your buck right now imo. There's cheaper, but being able to easily change parts on the TE makes it a better investment in the long run. Horis Fighting Stick V3 looks pretty good for a cheaper stick and it should work just fine.
Honestly if this is your first stick the difference between Hori and Sanwa/Seimetsu parts probably won't be very noticeable, so if you don't want to spend $100+ a cheaper stick will work just fine and you can upgrade later (then you'll have a spare for local 2 player

Re: Arcade Fight Stick
Sorry dude, I've seen so many hackers now a days that modded their buttons to do a certain target, I was pretty much thinking of Street Fighter Alpha 3 for the PlayStation Portable where you press the select button, it automatically does a special attack without the need of actually performing the actually command ( which made characters like Barlog broken because they can keep spamming their attack without holding back 2 seconds or making it much easier for Zangief to do his super attack since it requires you to rotate twice and you don't have to do that )EVOLghost wrote:AdamGomez1987 wrote:

If you aren't happy with the PS3 options, you could always get a PS2-to-PS3 adapter (I suggest the inPin convertor) and use an old PS1 or PS2 fighting stick. There were countless arcade sticks made for those 2 consoles
You can find the inPin for sale here - http://etokki.com/Playstation2/iNPiN-PS ... -Converter
There are also some interesting looking arcade sticks for sale on that same site. http://etokki.com/Playstation3
