There's a new Muppets movie and it doesn't suck!

Cowboys vs Aliens.. had to turn it off halfway through. Boring for a purported blockbuster.

Or hell, just use an out-of-5 scale. You're only using 5 numbers as it is anyway.BoringSupreez wrote:Far too many people these days rate things on a scale of 5 to 10. Remember, guys, using numbers 1-4 won't hurt anyone!Hobie-wan wrote:Wait, lame still gets a 7, not something in the 3-5 range? How bad does something have to be to deserve a 2 or a 1? The Muppets, again.
Sweetums "call back" still makes me laugh my butt off. Lots of plot holes, but they really don't matter as the writing is still near perfect (plot holes aside, which usually would be a huge deal besides the fact the movie doesn't allow you to stop smiling unless you tear up).
Hard to rate this movie. Biased because I love the Muppets, and the Muppets is so different from the other comedies I've seen this year. Just hard to compare The Muppets to Bridesmaids...
Maybe my favorite movie of the year. Loved POTApes, Bridesmaids, Attack the Block, Super 8, but I can say without a doubt that The Muppets was one movie where I was thrilled to be in a theater full of loud kids.

Because a 6 is still watchable, just something you're probably gonna forget about by next week. A 1 or 2 would be something that is so horrendously bad that you want the 2 hours of your life back and you see the movie as nothing but complete garbage.AppleQueso wrote:Or hell, just use an out-of-5 scale. Cowboys and Aliens. It was meh. Sam Rockwell never disappoints (I mean come on, he's Sam Rockwell) but the movie was a little slow and even though I wasn't familiar with the comic (which is apparently vastly different) I figured out olivia wild's character right away.
It was meh.
It was meh.

a 2/5 is effectively what you'd consider a 6/10 anyway. You get into the 1-5/10 area and they're all pretty much the same thing anyway: completely terrible. Might as well just rate them 1/5 or even 0/5.BurningDoom wrote:Because a 6 is still watchable, just something you're probably gonna forget about by next week. I watched The Shawshank Redemption a few days ago. I can see why it's often considered one of the best movies ever. Definitely the best prison movie I've ever watched. Morgan Freeman was great, as usual.
