You have a friend who thinks, as of almost present day, lol means lots of love? Mr.Cheese Apple, stop hanging around assisted living homes.

The only time (I think) I'll use acronyms or abbreviations is when I'm typing a longer post. If I type out the title of something once, I'll start abbreviating it there after. So the reader wont have to Google it if they've been reading my post. If they have to Google it, that's what they get for not reading the post in its entirety!

In other words, IDKJGILEOEASBEAI.

I don't know, just Google it like every one else and stop bothering everyone about it.




But I do know what you mean, BD (BurningDoom), sometimes it gets on my nerves as well. Not just game titles, but what I guess would be considered "common" internet/txt abbreviations and acronyms that I just don't know. Like, "IWTMY and I got a new game!" means, "I went to the mall yesterday". I'm just making that one up because I can't think of one off the top of my head, but it does get annoying. I remember back in the AOL 3.0 days it was limited to LOL and TTYL, but when I started to see OIC and IDK, it was getting annoying. Now we got IIRC and FWIW and whatnot.

Personally, I'd love to live in a world where people could just speak normal english and didn't use acronyms or insider lingo, but that's just the nature of things and I've learned to accept it and find myself often doing it without even realizing it.

I imagine it must be annoying for someone to listen to me talk about pro wrestling and use words like heels, face, marks, jobs and kayfabe, which are words that mean nothing to a non-wrestling nerd
