Amen. Oh, and beer. I love a cold Shock Top or Seirra Nevada after a long day at work.

Pabstblueribbon wrote:Anyone on here heard of bath salts? Its a fairly new drug and I dont think it has spread everywhere yet, but I live near Bangor Maine and it has become a serious issue in that city... This stuff makes you go fucking CRAZY. One guy ripped his junk off because he thought there were spiders inside it...one "serving" can screw you up for days and it makes people super strong and crazy.
So in other words you probably couldn't play Mario 64 on it?

That bath salt stuff sounds whack.

Around here, people spray wasp-repellant onto metal grates, and then run electricity through the grate, causing the repellant to crystalize. They sell this as meth.

Denver's pretty safe. No encounters with grit (glass in weed) or insecticides yet. Spice is a bit of an issue though. Idiot kids.

Is Spice bad for you?

I have a friend in the military that smokes that stuff because, obviously, he can't smoke weed.

I actually had someone try to sell me some weed with glass in it. I was pretty damn pissed.

Just saying it doesn't mess with your perceptions, cognitive reasoning, memory, and other such things like drugs do. Which is the part Frank Zappa was against because he believed the mind was a precious thing,
This is true, of course. Zappa was surrounded by people who used drugs, specifically hallucinogenics, to help them with their creativity. In fact, many people who made great music were frequently asked in interviews if—and what—drugs helped them make it. Obviously, this was quite insulting to Zappa because it implied nobody came up with their own genius music.
The thing about cigarettes is that being a heavy smoker, Zappa was simply put a slave to a substance much like the other musicians that he looked down on. That's basically all I was trying to say.
I remember all through my childhood my mother would spew venom about people who used or even got addicted to drugs. She would call them the scum of the earth, useless people, a waste of oxygen and so forth. But I have never in my life seen her make it out of bed in the morning without the help of some strong coffee.

....for what reason???

Speaking of glass being cut with drugs, my buddy bought coke once (I don't do coke for the record, but I used to hang out with some shady folk in High School) and it was crushed fluorescent lightbulb. Watching him insufflate it was not a pretty sight. Lots of blood.

Very bad.

It's becoming illegal in many states, I've known 2 people that have gone to the hospital for it myself, and there have been a few news stories as well.

A few reasons. One, it weighs a lot, which can allow dealers to charge more. Two, if it's finely ground enough, it can mimic the appearance of THC trichomes (white little crystals) which are an indicator of potency. A trained eye would easily spot the fake though. Glass shimmers, and typically falls to the bottom of the bag/canister etc. while trichomes do not. They stick to everything they touch and are a bit dull.

I can only assume he was tryng to make a customer out of me.

Maybe he thought I wouldn't notice it and just think that he gave me some really good herb.

Oh, and by glass, I meant meth, not the melted sand kind.

Back in the bad habits days I had someone sell me Epsom Salt. The girl I was with wanted to snort a line, but someone else tried to smoke it first.

I can't imagine what would have happened if she had snorted it first. This was sold to us by the leader of the Norte's in my area, so the confrontation that happened was quite frightening.

Man, I'm glad life is simpler now.
