Anyone remember John K's work? Been a while since he's done anything but I remember him working on the New Adventures of Mighty Mouse and I gotta admit, talk about random as if the original Mighty Mouse wasn't random enough

What's that cheap flash animation crap they're showing on Fox now? something about a 7 year old with gay parents? Sounds like an idea trying to break barriers only to fail.

It's called Allen Gregory, and yes, it really sucks. Fox would be better off just re-running Sam & Max in its place or something.

I love Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures! Bought it on DVD a couple of months ago. Very weird and hilarious (except for a few episodes where they just show clips from classic Mighty Mouse). Best cartoon of the '80s IMO.

Man, and I remember when Simpsons used to actually be animated...lol, to imagine a world where animators use pencil & paper, what a silly idea today!

Yeah, I believe it was an underrated 80's cartoon. I think I listened to too much of John K's stuff because when I watch Tiny Toons now, I lost the nostalgia for it. I still like Animaniacs but Tiny Toons seems to have lost its flare with me. =(

By the way, anyone remember the animated series Beetlejuice? =)!!!

Haha, Also I really, really hope it arrives here in English. Not only because of the lipsync, but because the Spanish dubs are beyond terrible, every boy always has the same voice as Bart Simpson.

On the bright side, if it doesn't I will just buy the English DVD. It will not only be cheaper than going to the cinema but it will be released on the UK far before the movie is in threaters here.

That's a good point, he did compliment the animation that went into it, he absolutely hated the writing in it. He also attacked Animaniacs. He also gave compliments to Astro Boy ( I think Astro Boy is alright, I'm more of a Doraemon person and if I had to choose, I would rather choose Black Jack if it goes strictly down to the creator of Astro Boy )

Anyways, as for Ren & Stimpy, I love that cartoon and it's his prodigy. I think it's much better than Spongebob Square Pants which I believe is a censor friendly version of the show.

Spongebob Squarepants takes lessons from all the greats in animation. You can see a lot of Ren & Stimpy, yes. You can also see a lot of Looney Toons influence. The creator of Sponebob worked on Rocko's Modern Life, so you can see a lot of that too.

As for censor friendly? We forget that Ren and Stimpy aired on Nickelodeon.

Ren & Stimpy got a lot of controversy on that show as it's original intention was to try and air on MTV but Beavis & Butthead managed to beat them to it.

Rocko's Modern Life was just as bad, if not worse, in it's first season or so. It's amazing to compare what was considered acceptable in a kid's show in the early '90s to today's standards.

By leaps and bounds. RML had some risque stuff, but episodes like Sven Hoek, Anthony's Dad, Space Madness, and Rubber Nipple Salesmen definitely pushed it far beyond anything else on television.
