HOLIDAY GAMING: What did you ask for / what are you buying?
Re: HOLIDAY GAMING: What did you ask for / what are you buying?
Wii Points. I'm trying to build a nice sized Virtual Console library before Nintendo gets it in their head to shut it down. It might not happen for a number of years but I'm not taking any chances.

I ordered myself a new gaming laptop, which I told my wife she could consider my Christmas from her.
(specs in the spoiler box)
I also bought myself Deus Ex: Human Revolution during the Steam sale so I would have something to play on the new laptop.

I detest putting together a list of things to ask for around the holidays, but usually have to do it anyway. I'd like to think that people who feel obliged to buy me a gift would already have an idea what I like...[/quote]

might be 2012 but it will be bought with Christmas money so I think it counts

Looks great. By far the weakest link on that laptop is the screen but you can easily hook it up to a TV or monitor so thats not so much an issue.J T wrote:I ordered myself a new gaming laptop, which I told my wife she could consider my Christmas from her.

On the video game side, probably going to ask for Solatorobo, Kirby: Mass Attack, any Professor Layton game outside of Unwound Future (probably Last Specter first), any Ace Attorney game outside of the first, and Super Mario Galaxy 2.
Outside of gaming, I want a video camera and tickets to Midwest Gaming Classic in March.

Re: HOLIDAY GAMING: What did you ask for / what are you buying?
It's Christmas everyday for me.
Seriously though, my presents usually come early. Black Friday spoils are often my early Christmas gift(s). Amazon should be delivering my PS3 this aftrernoon; that's my Christmas present. My wife feels having a 46" LCD in the living room is obnoxious, so I ended up getting her a discreet 32" LCD (LED) for the upstairs (her Christmas present)
Honestly, I tell family and friends I have everything I need or really want; however, if they feel absolutely compelled to get me something, my Amazon wishlist is that way ---->

Let's see...pretty much all Xbox 360 games as far as gaming goes:
Dead Island - apparenlty there's a special edition on the 360 version as well as the PC so I asked for the SE on 360. Idk what's so "special" about it but I guess I will find out.
Condemned 2
F.E.A.R. 1, 2, & Files
Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions
Bioshock

I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!
