I have one of these. They work great. There's a few for sale locally here, but online might be a bit more of a hassle.

Thanks, I used to play fighting games all the time when I was a kid and occasionally do today. I'm curious though, do you see any advantages playing an arcade stick over playing an actual PlayStation 3 controller? I'm assuming for characters like Vega ( Street fighter IV) it would be a lot easier to use the arcade stick.EVOLghost wrote:I have one of these. They work great. Nope, personal preference is all...in my opinion that is.

I find fighting games that involve sweeping motions for attacks to be impossible on the PlayStation d-pad. There are definitely advantages to arcade sticks.
Also, moves that require you to press 2 or more buttons at the same time. Much easier to press 4 buttons at once on an arcade stick They often map 2+ simultaneous button presses to a single shoulder button on a regular controller, but for me that's just adding another button to remember.

What fighters do you play? I'm having a tough time playing Marvel vs Capcom 3 with a character like Jill, I guess she's an expert character.ZenErik wrote:I find fighting games that involve sweeping motions for attacks to be impossible on the PlayStation d-pad. I know you want a "good" one, but you're going to have to let us know your budget if you want suggestions.

Is it possible to see the various options? It'd be nice if there are buttons that can do automatic hot keys such as special moves =)noiseredux wrote:I know you want a "good" one, but you're going to have to let us know your budget if you want suggestions.
