As if the game wasn't awesome enough, we get a nice, old school, side scrolling beat'em up stage with a classic train scenario and even a boss fight with one of Batman's rogues gallery(Black Mask)
Here's both Batman and Nightwing played by two good players.

Wow, that is flipping cool. I missed the side scrolling segments in the main game from Arkham Asylum. I wish they put some scenes like this in the main game, Batman's combat mechanics really suits that view angle.
Come on PC game, drop in price already!

Awesome! Goozex delivered and I have Arkham City for PC coming in this week. Here is hoping that whatever Direct X 11 features cause the game to chug weren't available to my "best of last year" Radeon HD 4850 anyway. It still has to end up better than the 360 version, but maybe they put a touch more oomph into the CPU usage this time than they did with Arkham Asylum.

Okay, the PC version came in and after several hours actually finished installing. It works great! The default settings for my system were 1152x6xx (16:9) and high detail, which turns the very last effect off in the settings menu, I don't even know what it does. I tried raising the resolution to 1920x1080 and that seemed about the same, it didn't look better, so I lowered it again to hopefully minimize any frame dropping while I wait for my CPU upgrade to arrive.
The benchmark averaged above 31FPS with the following setup.
Windows 7
Asus M2V
Athlon 64 X2 4200+
6GB RAM
XFX Radeon HD 4850
-edit-
I know this game is so last month and all, but a patch just downloaded from GfWL and the game is now totally stable and much prettier than the 360 version.

Hey dude, is there ever a point in Arkham City where you can't go back and get riddler trophies? I want to continue with the main story and I feel like I am close to the end, but don't want to potentially spoil the game by trying to look up online if it does ever end and not allow you to go back.Gamerforlife wrote:As if the game wasn't awesome enough, we get a nice, old school, side scrolling beat'em up stage with a classic train scenario and even a boss fight with one of Batman's rogues gallery(Black Mask)

You can definitely continue all the side missions, including riddler trophies after the main story is finished. I just did this as well.Stark wrote: Hey dude, is there ever a point in Arkham City where you can't go back and get riddler trophies? I also have to say this game was probably the best game i've played since Uncharted 2. Loved every second of it!

I am wondering if I am the only person who liked AA better than AC?
Re: Batman: Arkham City
The only thing I found slightly disappointing compared to Asylum was
Those were really just minor complaints for me though. Overall I enjoyed Arkham City more.

So far I like Arkham Asylum better. I don't like sandbox games at all, and Arkham City pushes that line too far. I also hate the chatter in the background from thugs gossiping constantly. I do like the improvements to the combat system that Arkham City offers though, so I keep playing it.SpaceBooger wrote:I am wondering if I am the only person who liked AA better than AC?
