Partway through Digimon Tamers. I think it's too early to judge, but probably the best Digimon series yet.
I might start watch Space Pirate Captain Harlock tomorrow as well, it's been sat on my hard-drive for a while...

Sam is still done by the original actor, but Dean is done by a stand in. The original actor Jensen Ackles does appear in the last two episodes of the series. He also does some of the introductions for the episodes on the dvd.Xeogred wrote:I thought the Supernatural anime got the original actors to do the dub?Mendoza wrote:Just picked up New Cutey Honey the anime essentials version.
I forgot how fun that little ova was. I will never understand why none of the of the other Cutey Honey anime came stateside. I mean we get Battle Vixens and Queen's Blade, but what about some old school fan service.
You know from a simpler, more innocent time, when acid breast milk was not yet weaponized.
Also watched more of Supernatural the anime. Still hate the english voice replacemnt for Dean and the anime version of Bobby.

While not currently watching them... I just ordered FLCL and Trigun series from Amazon on Cyber Monday sale! So... soon. I'd seen Trigun when I was a teenager... and really liked it, $14.99 for the complete set was too much to pass on.
The last Anime I tried to watch was Samurai 7 but I despise the 3D crap that Anime tries to do these days... it looks horrible. I don't remember what episode I left off on that series... :\

Weird considering I know the guy has done some voice acting in other cartoons (Batman Under the Red Hood, etc). Maybe it just didn't fit his schedule?Mendoza wrote:Sam is still done by the original actor, but Dean is done by a stand in. Xeogred: Yeah from what i read in interviews he just didnt have time to do more than a couple episodes. I guess Padaleki isnt doing as much other than supernatural and had more time to spare.
I have heard the replacement guy before in other stuff, but he just doesn't sound like dean at all.
The guy for Bobby is the same way, not even close.
I did think it was funny that Dean is more of a pretty boy in the anime than in the show. Ackles actually joked about it in one of the special feature interviews.

Initial D
There's a solid update of animation through-out the series from the shallow beginnings of Stage 1 to the solid racing animation in Stage 4.
EDIT: Also, Funimation >>>>>>> Tokyopop
