Donkey Konga only being $4, I figure how can you go wrong? I'm looking at the back and I don't see it say anywhere that the bongo controllers are a must... are they? I'll have to see if I can pick them up for real cheap some where, otherwise I'll just use controllers (if that's possible).
The Bongos are not needed, but a lot easier to use vs a regular controller. Adds to the game too. If you happen to come across Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, grab it! Sidescrolling platformer that uses the bongos, definitely unique!

Gamestop has the bongos used for $1.99.

Ah man, I looked around a little and didn't see them. I should have looked harder!

One seller on eBay has them for $10 shipped, and he has 3 at that price. I was thinking about picking up two. Is that a decent price for them, or can they be had cheaper if I look around?
Not too bad since the Bongos are not really that common anymore. Did you try the Gamestop site?

Gamestop can ship one to your local store
Maybe use the Website link I posted and try different Zip code searches. Then take the info to your local Gamestop, they have to make the phone call. Gamestop will lose money in the shipping, but they usually will ship if a customer asks. Also helps if you have good rapport with the employees locally.

I looked up your Wii Alien Syndrome game, the back cover only shows the Remote and Nunchuck. I don't know why Nintendo couldn't have included a Classic and Gamecube Controller option. I noticed this, a shame lot of Wii games went Remote Nunchuck only, Wii Metal Slug is the worse case.

I played the PS2 version in the Sega Classics Collection which also allows Arcade stick and its an okay game, disappointed that there is no "Robotron Twinstick" mode.

this isn't a sure-thing unfortunately. It really depends on the employee. I've had GS employees OFFER to order things from other stores for me. I've had other ones flat out tell me that there's no way to even do that. So...

Metal Slug Anthology on Wii supports Gamecube controls.

Man, I feel more and more sorry for Wii Minus owners all the time.

THIS - I would never buy a downgraded Wii.

The Gamecube Controller Icon is not on the Metal Slug cover, the reason why I never bought it. Maybe Alien Syndrome also supports the Gamecube controller after all?
