Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Wow Mike, grats on the Sexy Parodius. Thats easily one of my favorite gradius games.
Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
So been kind of slow lately so kind of merging a few of my recent finds.
Saturday:
Dynasty Warriors (PS1) - 2.99
Monday:
Road Rash Jailbreak - 1.50
Road Rash 3d - 2.50
2 Xtreme - 0.80 (used to play this ALL the time back in the day)
Megaman & Bass - 4.99
Buy two get two free at the local game store so 2Xtreme and Jailbreak were free.
Saw a guy on craigslist selling a PS1 with a handful of games including FF7 for $20. Unfortunately he didn't tell me he sold FF7 the day before so I ended up with the following for a bit less.
Metal Gear Solid VR Missions (complete)
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (complete)
Crash Bandicoot 2 (Greatest Hits, Complete)
Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus (missing manual)
Metal Gear Solid (greatest hits)
Blue's Clues (disc only)
Teletubbies (disc only)
PS1 system with two controllers.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Managed to an excellent-condition Yoshi's Island copy today:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/140647123493?ss ... 500wt_1413

Been slowly pecking away at the loose carts I've accumulated and have started trying to get them CIB. This one had been eluding me for some time but I finally got a good deal on one
Not a steal by any means but a very good price for the condition and caliber of game, methinks!

Do I have some hauls
Got a DS Lite Onyx for $20. It had no charger and I had to replace the battery. Also, the "A" button is sticking but I think I can clean it out.
Gamestop b2g1
Capcom vs SNK 2 EO
Gauntlet Dark legacy
Timesplitter's Future Perfect
$21.83

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Spent a little more than I should have, but I picked up a couple games I've been wanting to get for a while, then picked up a few games just because they were super cheap.
Wario Land Shake It! - $17.99
Kirby's Epic Yarn - $19.99
Alien Syndrome - $4.99
Paper Mario The 1k Year Door - $14.99
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles - $7.99
Donkey konga - $3.99

Got them all used at GameStop, plus the 10% off the prices above from the rewards card. I stopped in this GameStop for the first time today. It's actually one of the closest locations to my house. The store wasn't as big as the closest one to my house (which is the biggest GameStop I've even been in) but they were some how better. They had MUCH more stock, including PS2 games IN THE CASES!!!
Questions...
Donkey Konga only being $4, I figure how can you go wrong? I'm looking at the back and I don't see it say anywhere that the bongo controllers are a must... are they? I'll have to see if I can pick them up for real cheap some where, otherwise I'll just use controllers (if that's possible).
Alien Syndrome was only 5 bucks, so that some times is a bad sign, but the game looks awesome from looking at the back cover. It says it's a 4-player "Shooter RPG" so that sounds pretty cool. Any one play this one?
Should I bother playing the first Paper Mario on the N64 before playing Thousand Year Door? Is it worth it, or it doesn't matter if I play them out of order?

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Found some great games at Deseret Industries this morning (Mormon GoodWill - http://providentliving.org/content/disp ... -1,00.html)

(not pictured) Bio F.R.E.A.K.S. (N64) - $1.00
Ninja Gaiden (NES) - $3.00
Willow (NES) - $3.00
Metal Gear (NES) - $3.00
Mega Man 4 (NES) - $3.00
SNES Game Genie (SNES) - $3.00
Indiana Jones Greatest Adventures (SNES) - $3.00
Castlevania Dracula X (SNES) - $3.00
The label is torn and has what I assume is a rental sticker on it, but I am still completely thrilled with this.

If you want, I could probably get you a replacement label for that. From one Castlevania fan to another.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
The Bongos are not needed, but a lot easier to use vs a regular controller. Adds to the game too. If you happen to come across Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, grab it! Sidescrolling platformer that uses the bongos, definitely unique!Ziggy587 wrote:Questions...

Gamestop has the bongos used for $1.99.

Ah man, I looked around a little and didn't see them. I should have looked harder!CRTGAMER wrote:The Bongos are not needed, but a lot easier to use vs a regular controller. Adds to the game too. I'm gonna search store locations and see if there's any around. Thanks for the heads up!
