I remember back when the PS2 was going strong, about 2004-5 when I first got mine, there were tons of people listing PS1 games in the PS2 category. Very annoying. Now that both systems have died down, it's nowhere near as common.o.pwuaioc wrote:That kind of shit really annoy me.Zing wrote:Can you Vita lovers somehow tell Ebay sellers to not list Vita shit under the "PlayStation 1" category on ebay? I am going to have to add "-vita" to every saved search.

You guys mean to tell me you don't like listings that would look like this?:
Final Fantasy VII 7 Seven FF7 FF 7 FF Seven PSX PS1 PSOne PS One PS Playstation PS2 PS 2 Ps2 NES SNES N64 Playstation 2 PS3 Playstation 3 PS 3 PSP Playstation Portable
Final Fantasy VII 7 Seven FF7 FF 7 FF Seven PSX PS1 PSOne PS One PS Playstation PS2 PS 2 Ps2 NES SNES N64 Playstation 2 PS3 Playstation 3 PS 3 PSP Playstation Portable
Re: Playstation Vita thread
Keyword spamming is one thing, but what I am referring to is the idiot actually choosing the PlayStation 1 as an additional category! I use categories to filter out a lot of the spam.Opa Opa wrote:You guys mean to tell me you don't like listings that would look like this?:

When you grudgingly put your money down for the proprietary PS Vita memory card you'll need, muttering under your breath about how absurd it is that neither an industry-standard SD card nor Sony's own Memory Stick will work, how much money will you grudgingly put down?
Up to a hundred and twenty damn dollars, according to GameStop. The retailer has posted listings for four sizes of Vita memory card, including a 4GB card for $29.99, 8GB for $44.99, 16GB for $69.99, and 32GB for the aforementioned $119.99.

Going to go with proprietary media again? I would not be surprised if they actually did make some amount of money from being the only option (until decent adapters showed up at least) for the PSP and some other stuff. I don't know how many lost sales they got from having hardware (such as digital cameras) that used proprietary instead of industry standard, but they also must have gotten some extra from people already having their proprietary format (for whatever reason) and then wanting to continue using it.swiftzx wrote:Going to go with proprietary media again? Presumably it wasn't working for them anymore recently, as at least there are Sony cameras taking SDs.

I thought that you didn't even need memory cards unless you were going to be downloading games? I seem to recall reading that the game cards would have room for save data on them.

Wouldn't using a standard SD card allow them to be pillaged frequently by piracy? I can't say I blame them here.swiftzx wrote:Going to go with proprietary media again? Not every game has saves available on the card. It's similar to the save situation on the N64.Opa Opa wrote:I thought that you didn't even need memory cards unless you were going to be downloading games? I seem to recall reading that the game cards would have room for save data on them.
