wasn't the DC's library around the 600's?? Or was that just japanese?

Wikipedia says there are about 325 in the entire library. I'm sure a good portion of that list never made it to the US so the US library would be noticeably less than that.

there is over 255 released in the US but I do not know the exact number.

The JP library, including all retail releases and re-releases, but not demo disks, is 650 plus or minus a couple.
