Luckily this only bothers me greatly for a few hours, and then I should just stop caring.
So I was trying to clean off my new Wii a bit...

...And now I'm horrified about how easily this glossy plastic scratches. I used the same microfiber cloths that I use to clean glass (usually works great), and it left little scratches everywhere.

sounds like you have something on your cloth?

Doesn't seem like it. Regardless, how should I fix this? I'm not in any rush, but it seems like some sort of swirl remover and soft foam pad will do the trick.deathsled wrote:sounds like you have something on your cloth?
Anyone have any experience?
Makes me appreciate my matte consoles much more. The Wii is the only glossy one... And it's already a pain.

Buy some Plexus. It works wonders.ZenErik wrote:Doesn't seem like it. Regardless, how should I fix this? I'm not in any rush, but it seems like some sort of swirl remover and soft foam pad will do the trick.deathsled wrote:sounds like you have something on your cloth?

Sounds good, but what I read says that it doesn't remove swirls/micro scratches. So perhaps a swirl remover and then some Plexus once the scratches are out?RyaNtheSlayA wrote:Buy some Plexus. My bottle says it does (as do my eyes).ZenErik wrote: Sounds good, but what I read says that it doesn't remove swirls/micro scratches. So perhaps a swirl remover and then some Plexus once the scratches are out?

Alright. Where can I find it? And have you personally used it on a Wii or something similar? Thanks!

I used it on everything, PSP, iPhone 3GS, Older PS3, and it's always worked well for me. Gets rid of a lot of the small scratches and makes them shine like new.ZenErik wrote:Alright. Where can I find it? And have you personally used it on a Wii or something similar? Thanks!
If there's a small airport near you look and see if they have a small flight shop. Since it's technically made for plexiglass, pilots love it to clean their windsheilds. I haven't been in a flight shop that doesn't have it.

Hmm. Might just have to order from Amazon. What should I use while applying it? Microfiber cloth? Thanks for the help again. I'll let you know how it goes once I get it.

The back of the bottle recommends something lintless. I use the cloth that came with my glasses.ZenErik wrote:Hmm. Might just have to order from Amazon. What should I use while applying it? Microfiber cloth? Thanks for the help again. I'll let you know how it goes once I get it.
