Trying hard to get into Danny Brown's "XXX" ... can anyone help me? Am I too old?

I'm getting old too. I like *some* of XXX. I think "DNA" is one of the best hip hop tracks of the year actually. But most of that album I'm like "really? This is what everyone's raving about? What aren't I getting?"

I am enjoying Honkey Kong especially the track "All I Think About" feat. Action Bronson
"Chewbacca" is my favorite track off of Random Axe and the video is pretty funny
I think Weekend at Burnie's should of been a download mixtape but "She Don't Wanna Man" is my favorite track off of it and it's dope to see Curren$y work with a mature subject matter.

What's this old business about listening to XXX? "Bruiser Brigade" is my favorite song off of it.

And Perfume is awesome. But Nightwish and one other band I listed are a bit on the metal side.

Helene Bøksle is a great Norwegian singer.

And Kaipa is a Swedish prog-rock band.

Pain of Salvation is a Swedish band... I like their older material. Daniel Gildenlow is one of my all time favorite male singers. He's just got absolute control over his voice. This song isn't the best example of that, but it's a cool tune.

I thought I'd posted this but maybe not! Love "Chewbacca" as much as Raekwon's "Rock n Roll" and I loved the consistent and soulful production on Currensy - am gonna keep having a go at XXX! Hey OldSchool am I out of turn asking if there should be a Racketboy top 10 Hip Hop for the year? Dunno if that's silly on a website about Retro Gaming!
