Never even heard of Max Anarchy, looks pretty cool though. Let's hope the gameplay isn't interrupted by boring cutscenes every 5 minutes!

And yeah, I played the demo of Vanquish to death, I know I'm going to love it. I hate Gears but there was so much more to Vanquish that it was a lot of fun, mixed in with your usual awesome boss fights you can expect from Capco---Platinum Games!

soooo. I've been picking up and playing an hour or two of games that I've sat on lately. This is one of them. And though still early in the game, I do like it a lot. I think it looks great. The soundtrack is excellent. But I know some of you stopped liking it later. Then again, I tend to really like this sort of mindless fun splatterfest. I feel like if you know what you're getting into, then you're in the right mindset to enjoy such a game.

I think Shadows of the Damned is fine for what it is. It's a decent game if you don't take it seriously, in which case you could probably ignore how misogynistic it is or how juvenile the penis jokes are, but a lot of gamers have really exaggerated its quality and were acting like this is some kind of brilliant game that is being unjustly ignored by the gaming community. It's really not all that amazing IMO and it feels like all the gaming hipsters are singing its praises. I think it has some fun elements though, so I can see how someone could get some enjoyment out of it. I was enjoying it in the early goings. I just think there was potential for a lot more with this game

That said, I'm still hoping they can deliver something special with Lollipop Chainsaw, which is the type of game that is more up my alley as I love a fun, beat'em up and I dig the sort of Buffy-esque quality of the heroine

hell yeah. That game is crazy, and pretty much the reason I started paying attention to Suda. I have Killer7, Samurai Champloo Sidetracked, No More Heroes and Shadows of the Damned.

I've had killer 7 for a long time now and still haven't gotten around to finishing it. It's a seriously crazy game though.

Finally playing through this now. I see it has lead to a very interesting mix of responses, but being as I have just started Act 5, I think I can safely say that I like the game, even if I find its constant sex jokes more than a little tiresome. Yes, I get it, weapons are phallic. Yes, these kinds of action games are rife with mysogyny and machismo to the point of ridiculousness. But I feel that the game has made its point.

Also, the hori levels...I didn't care for them. Sure, I managed to collect all the white gems in each level, but at the end of each one, I found myself happy to get back to the "real" game.

Oh, and the bosses are incredibly impressive, even if they are a bit crude at times. The three Sisters Grimm fights were challenging but entertaining, even if the third seemed to take forever.
