Not super, but not bad either.

Yeah, but Mike's been tearin it up lately.
I've been playing Shooting Love 200X on the 360. Never played anything by Triangle before, and I am happily surprised at how good their stuff is.
Also been on Raiden Fighters 2. Some nice change of pace from CAVE

So I started playing around with this game yesterday and really don't understand why it isn't as well regarded as some of Cave's other titles...I am having a blast with it (even the arrange mode) and the pork theme is quite quirky/humorous. Has anyone else put much time in to this one?dsheinem wrote:Muchi Muchi Pork

Re: What shmup are you playing now?
Muchi Muchi Pork would easily be top 3 shmups ever for me.
The game is amazing. I love the patterns, the different styles of bullets used, the boss battles, the scoring. Everything in this game is executed perfectly. Ver 1.0 is also very acurate to the pcb.
I would also rank Pink Sweets very highly. That 2 pack is insane, and should be in every 360 collection.
Has anyone else tried Matsuri mode yet?

On a bright note, I hit 17.8 billion and the 4th boss on a run yesterday.
On a sad not, that would get me only 30 billion away from 20th place on the shmups forum hi-score list.
The good news is now that i'm coasting (as opposed to surviving) through the first 3 stages, I can start to focus on intelligent scoring on the 2nd / 3rd stages.
Also, I used to prefer playing shmups with a second person - now...I sorta hate it. It can be fun, but not on a game i'm actively trying to improve at.
Re: What shmup are you playing now?
Just started playing Super Star Soldier on my TG16. It's a lot of fun, but I generally play it in random spurts. What's awesome is there is a 2-min run and 5-min run mode specifically for players who want to do random spurts.

Re: What shmup are you playing now?
^PCE/TG16 was way ahead of the game when it came to catering to what fans of shooting games love. The 2 / 5 min score runs were an example of that. A great system.
Re: What shmup are you playing now?
Yeah! It's really starting to get me into shmups. I played some of the more cartoony ones like Ordyne and Air Zonk with a friend of mine a while ago and the more I look into the TG library, the more I find myself jotting down shmups I would like to pick up and try.

Armored Police Batrider (8ing/Raizing)
Gaplus/Galaga 3 (Namco)
