The Official KOF XIII thread. It's here, and it Rocks!
Re: The Official KOF XIII thread. It's here, and it Rocks!
Yeah KOF XIII definately feels special the moment you get a feel of the game. Gameplay wise, it bears slight resemblance to KOF 02 or 02UM, but seems to have the responsiveness and speed of KOF XI. It's wicked combination to say the least. Add in EX specials and EX supers and you got a mighty fine game. And Neo Max moves seem to look even cooler than SF4 Ultras...

Played for about on hour (xbox version) yesterday. Went through tutorial mode and started doing some missions and training mode. I'm liking the game so far. Can't wait to try out all the characters more and figure out who I want to use.

This game's amazing! We're going to have "6 player" 3 on 3 hotseat matches on Saturday.

Netcode isn't too shabby. Miles better than vanilla SF4. I played for about 2 hours tonight.
The first person I played was at 3 bars and the connection seemed pretty stable. There were a few times when things got laggy, but it was definitely playable. He was probably the worst person for me to have my first matches against. He was pretty good and I only one like 1 out of 10 matches. He was a good sport, but there was a delay after every match when he was probably saving the recoding. I'm sure my shit gameplay is going to be posted on youtube at some point.
The next set was with EvilRyu2099. This was a 2 bars connection. Surprisingly, other than the some synchronizing before matches at initially at the character select screen, the connection was pretty stable. There were a few instances where moves would teleport into each other, but we were still able to nail some combos and set up corner traps. I put myself in a hole early on while using characters I was pretty unfamiliar with. Even using my solid team sets I wasn't able to dig myself out of it. I think we ended at EvilRyu2099 10 - Me 6.
GGs EvilRyu2099 if you read this!

GGs indeed!! Man it's been awhile since I posted here but I miss you guys!!! As for KoF netcode.. I just think the online needs a few tweaks and this will be the perfect release... They need to atleast have 6 player lobbies and I think the connection between players under 2 bars could improve but overall I'm glad I bought this as opposed to XII!!wip3outguy7 wrote: GGs EvilRyu2099 if you read this!

Coopa on Finest KO mains both your and my characters in Leona and Kula... He basically gives you tips while he's in training mode on how to use their setups.. I'm actually thinking of picking her up simple because she's been buffed from arcade to console.. I still think the top 2 characters overall are Kula and K..wip3outguy7 wrote:Leona HD Combo - 1076 Damage. Requires 5 stocks and full HD.
