I upgraded to play the Final Fantasy Type-0 Demo.

There really is no big difference, you just run a icon from your games section which boots in 5 seconds to enable the CFW (After a hard shutrun), of course its easier to have it running all the time) but FFIV / Type-0 (Come on English version!) are reason enough.

just slapped a patched copy of FFIV on my psp with 5.50 and it works and saves fine. It showed an error as it first created the save data but then saved and is loading perfectly.

Guess I still have no reason to update firmware lol.

PSP is awesome

on a side note this is definitely the best looking version of FFIV yet. I've played it for SNES and never got too far, played further into it on GBA, but maybe with this version I'll FINALLY see it to completion lol

Homebrew / Emulation / Language Patches. So many possibility's other than just piracy.

A lot people on these forums are not only avid gamers, but also collectors.

I still only have 2 PSP games. Quite the pirate I am. I haven't really used my PSP in a few months. I'm not sure why I buy portables when I dont even use them. I have owned three DS portables that I didn't use much either. I want to love portable gaming, but I usually just use my home consoles.

I think emulation goes almost hand in hand with piracy honestly. I mean, if you have the hardware and the game then why emulate it? Don't say so you can play it on the go instead, because simply owning it for another system doesn't entitle you to be able to play it on your PSP or computer or whatever ;) I'm sure someone is going to say it gives you the added benefit of save states and other emulation features.....

No, more like it's a PSP so you have a PORTABLE NES, SNES, Genesis, etc. You can't take your NES with every game you own for it on the train or plane. However, you can take your PSP with you.
