I think the most I have paid is around 80 dollars or so but nothing even really comes to mind as far as really expensive games that I have bought. I usually end up spending hundreds at a time but that is on several games.
Eventually I will bite the bullet and get some major purchases such as Earthbound CIB and the Starfox and Donkey Kong Competition carts.
Most of the games I have that are really expensive now-a-days are games I have had since my childhood, and I am really glad I kept them since they have either kept their value or gone up in price.
Edit:
Actually I have spent about 150 or whatever it was when Rockband came out but I normally don't spend a ton of money on games, especially new games.

I think my record is Radiant Silvergun for $150. I dreamed of playing that for a few years before I finally wore down my better judgement.
I don't regret it though, even with the Xbox live release. I've enjoyed it immensely.
A close 2nd was an AES conversion of Blazing Star at around $142. I probably should have held off on that one, but I really like that game as well.
Otherwise, even my EXTREME wants rarely go over $80 for a single game release. I think PDS was the only other game that did (around $125).
And even though no one asked, the most expensive game I wish I bought is:
Samurai Shodown V Special
It was like $300-320 when I was contemplating it some years back, but it easily goes for twice that now.
Anyways, it's the only Samurai Shodown game to not get a more accessible home port (not counting the SS64 games).

Now that I've started importing cheaper Japanese version of Saturn/SNES games, I don't see myself paying over $60 for any game ever again. The only exceptions I can see occurring is if I end up buying North American versions of Harvest Moon, Ogre Battle, or EVO.

I had no idea that E.V.O. was rare and good. I saw a used copy in box at a local game store for months and never thought twice about it. I'm gonna take a trip down and see if it is still there.

$200 for Hyper Duel, Saturn
$150 for Radiant Silvergun, Saturn
$200 for Steel Battalion, Xbox (new)
that's probably it. i've spent $40-$70 on retro games here and there, which still seems like a lot for me.

somewhere between $150 and $200, for many of the usual suspects people have mentioned here (e.g. RS, SB, etc.)

I've never hit triple digits. I paid maybe in the $70-$80 range for Red Seeds Profile (PS3) and Mamoru-kun (PS3) though.
