Plus the RE4 image they used was from the scrapped version. The first of the two scrapped versions, no less.

It's Japan only, and was ported to the PS1. And unfortunately I can't read Japanese...

...sigh.

i remember having found Clocktower rom with english translations.

Am I the only one who remembers Heart of Darkness for the PSX? It wasnt really a survival horror game, but crap was it a friggin survival game. It was harder than Out of this World and Flashback.

You know I picked up on that, but you know it is the first game he has truly starred in. He shared the spotlight with Claire in RE2, and it felt like the story revolved more around her. RE always seems to favor the girls(not counting RE4). The trend continued in Dino Crisis with Regina starring

As for Dino Crisis not being on the list. It was a great game, but no one is ever going to include DC in a list like this when they can pick a Resident Evil game instead, simple because DC is like the offspring of the Resident Evil franchise. The DC games haven't really had a chance to create their own identity apart from the RE series......yet(I said that with hope)

Four reasons why anyone who likes survivor horror should play Eternal Darkness:

Great melee combat system
FANTASTIC magic system
Insanity effects mess with your characters AND you. It's like something jumped out of the game and is in your reality
HP Lovecraft inspired story

Oh yeah, and this:

Seriously, the game is really, really good

Eternal Darkness did have one major flaw. Once you'd seen the sanity effect, it got annoying. Walk into a room and suddenly your character explodes? Cool the first time. Not the 10th.

In all honesty, my favorite sanity effect in that game was the statues turning their heads to look at you while the walls bled. The memory card formatting screen was pretty good, too.

Wow, Deep Fear? I haven't gotten a chance to play it, but I'd heard it was pretty much an RE clone. I've been thinking about getting a Saturn lately and finding a copy. Is it really worth it?
