I'm 100% behind anything that will help stop the pet industry. One of the most sickening industries out there.

Actually reading the article the proposal sounds a little absurd, but not as completely stupid as I would've thought. The reasoning behind it is fairly sound at least.

@Para: He's talking about the pet industry, not simply the owning of pets.

They already scrapped this idea. I remember seeing this on the news a while ago.
