I'm 12 hours in and I haven't even gotten to the 2nd dungeon yet. So, yeah, bravo to your friend.alienjesus wrote:Y'know, the further I get in this game, the more impressive this is. I'm about 40 hours in now, and ignoring the fact that I've done a lot of sidequesting and exploring, I'm still a least a little while from the end. He must have really zoomed through!fastbilly1 wrote:A friend of mine, who picked it up at midnight, just called me to gloat that he finished the game. Skyward Sword, thoughts so far?
Re: Skyward Sword, thoughts so far?
I'm slowly moving right along. I really like that you can move between the sky and land from save points. It's really convenient, especially when you forget to upgrade your wooden shield to an iron one when wandering through lava territory
Re: Skyward Sword, thoughts so far?
Yeah its great that there is a fast travel system from the start. Nobody likes trekking across the map just to turn around and go back again.
I have the key for the second dungeon and I'll be going in there tonight! Still loving it.
I've already spent a good while creeping up on insects, does anybody know what I'm doing this for yet?

Wind Waker?
Right now, I'm playing Majora's Mask for the first time. When I'm done, I was thinking about try to play Wind Waker again (I own it already). IF I get through Wind Waker, I was thinking about giving Twilight Princess a shot (I own that already, too). Skyward Sword looks amazing, and I want to play it some day. My complaint about the motion controls still stands, but I think I will give it a shot any way. Maybe I'll try and put it off for a while.

There are too many Zeldas to catch up on!Ziggy587 wrote:Wind Waker?

I'm in the same spot, also have Wii Twilight and have not tried it yet. The instant aim of Hookshots will be an advantage on the Wii version, though I have read the camera is a pain. Never went far in either N64 Zeldas or Gamecube remakes. I am loving Wind Walker, amazed by the animation and instant load times. This just make me want to go back and explore the older Zeldas.

Wind Waker?
I played Ocarina of Time for the first time about a year ago, and to my surprise, I enjoyed it. It's definitely a prerequisite for Majora's Mask though. Majora's Mask feels like an awesome game from the start having played OoT before. If you ever do get around to giving OoT a real shot though, I recommend the gold cart N64 version only. The grey cart versions have some censoring that makes parts of the game lame in my opinion (fire temple chanting). Later versions (like Gamecube) have the same censoring, and maybe a little more if I remember correctly. I also read of bugs in the Cube version.
The last time I tried to play Wind Waker was before I played OoT, so I figure now that I enjoyed OoT and half of Majora's Mask, maybe I can get into Wind Waker this time around. And as I already said in this thread, some one bought me Twilight Princess for the Wii as a gift, even though I was planning to get the Gamecube version. However, after doing a little reading, I'm thinking about forcing myself to give it a shot on the Wii. Gamecube version doesn't have widescreen, which really bothers me. But yeah, I figure I better give it a shot, because I really do wanna give Skyward Sword a shot some day. It looks amazing, and sounds amazing from what ever one has said in this thread. I just wish I didn't have to use motion controls. But I figure, it is what it is, and there'll be no harm in trying it.

The only use I have found so far is to talk to the guy at the potion shop that has the baby on his back, he will take the bugs you catch and power up your potions to make them more powerful.Curlypaul wrote:Yeah its great that there is a fast travel system from the start.
