The Japanese Wii has much less shovelware, and many more good games.

I don't know about that. I'd say about 15-20% of the Wii library is worth purchasing, which is about the same figure I'd give to the PS3 or Xbox 360.elmagicochrisg wrote:There, corrected...THE WII IS 99 PERCENT SHOVELWARE AND CASUAL GAMES AND 1 PERCENT PURE BLISS...
I hope we someday get a boot disk or something that lets us play Japanese games on an American Wii. I'd love to play The Last Story, Tales of Graces, and Xenoblade eventually.Inazuma wrote:The Japanese Wii has much less shovelware, and many more good games.

What would be better is if the Wii U was region-free, and so it was b/c with all regions of Wii games. Pipe dream, I know...BoneSnapDeez wrote:I hope we someday get a boot disk or something that lets us play Japanese games on an American Wii. Aren't those going to also be European releases? You could always get yourself a pal Wii.BoneSnapDeez wrote: I hope we someday get a boot disk or something that lets us play Japanese games on an American Wii. I'd love to play The Last Story, Tales of Graces, and Xenoblade eventually.

PAL has those funny power plugs. I just imported Xenoblade and will play it using Gecko OS.saturnfan wrote:Aren't those going to also be European releases? I believe you can use a US power supply with a PAL Wii. That our you could always plug it in a 220 socket - like the one that powers your dryer.MrPopo wrote:PAL has those funny power plugs.
