Crackle movies/tv service comes to PS Home (for free)
Has anyone checked this out? I guess you can go to the movie theater or invite friends to your house in PS Home and watch a bunch of free movies and TV shows via a streaming service called Crackle. I assume Crackle is Sony-owned, as it seems all the programming is Sony-centric. I haven't actually tried this yet, but it's interesting. I mean there's something intriguing about maybe a bunch of us picking a night to all "go to a movie" together y'know? Who knows, maybe it sucks but intriguing nonetheless. That being said, I'm all for yet another source of moves to stream. I've got a PS3 in the living room and in the bedroom, and there's actually some movies on there I'd like to see (you guys realize I've never seen any of the RE movies?).

Sounds interesting. I don't have enough HD space on my PS3 to put Home back on it (cleared it for some good PSN stuff - but now I'm down to like 100 MB and my PS3 won't stfu about it) but if I get around to replacing my HD with a bigger one I'll check it out.

Kinda off topic but you started it. RE movies are my guilty pleasure. I love them, can't wait to see RE5 in the theaters next year.noiseredux wrote:Has anyone checked this out? Why through PS Home? Why not an app like Netflix or Hulu Plus?

Actually I just use the browser since there is a ps3 mode. But we can't have a date night group of us watch movies through the browser.Betamax001 wrote:Why through PS Home? Why not an app like Netflix or Hulu Plus?

I found the theater, but can't figure out how to watch what you want to watch. The only thing I've seen on the screen for the past few minutes is commercials. It's a little confusing. Is there a set schedule or something? Hmmm.

not sure why it wasn't working last night, but it's working now. Lots of free movies!
