I'm on my 2nd one, same exact stick.

I use it exclusively for fighters - and while its "ok", it isn't nearly as fluid as my SAT / DC sticks. Buttons became randomly responsive and stick got sloppy on the first one after 6 months, got another (new / boxed) in a trade, and now its starting to do the same thing.

Zangief will kill inferior joysticks.

yeah I just started using Vega last night. Figured I'd do something different for Fight Night. I can only pull off like half his moves, and none of his combos. Blanka I definitely feel confident with now though. I'd like to learn Cammy too I think, but I don't know ANY of her moves. My arcade stick came with a little card that lists moves for maybe a dozen characters, but she's not one of them:



I did ask my wife for the SSF4 strategy guide for XMas though. I don't often buy strategy guides, but I play this one often enough that I feel like it'd be worth owning. I'd probably actually reference it fairly often.

I decided to scrap the stick and grabbed the Hori Fighting Commander 3 Pro pad, so I'll be ready for next week (got tied up tonight).

I'll probably check out the new Hori UMvC3 pad, but the Real Arcade Pro V3 SA was never happening. Too much on ebay and dont think they'll produce any more.

Let me know how the pad fares. I am looking for a fighting pad myself and that one tempts me, since it is made by Hori and I love their products.

I love Hori too, but I don't find a + shaped d-pad logical for fighting games. You might want to look into PDP's Versus fightpad instead. It uses a clicky nub like on the NeoGeo Pocket Color.
