What was the last movie you've seen?

I'm going to predict that The Muppet Movie gets right around a 80-84% rating on rotten tomatoes. That, and that after you see the movie, walk to your car, and then get into your car, you'll start singing.

edit* Like Nolan's Batman movies? Go see MI:4. Batman news spreads like fire on the Internet, so I think it's safe to say that most people already know that the new film takes place almost a decade after Rises.

Now that's really interesting and opens up so many windows of opportunity for story telling. But the crux of this is that Nolan needs to have a certain prologue that doesn't seem silly. We can't have Gordon simply say "It's been 8 years since the Joker..blah blah blah". Can't wait to see how this is handled.

Saw two movies last night. First, Airpane. It's obviously made by the same guy who made Police Squad! and that's a good thing. Plenty of hilarity here.

Then I watched The Neverending Story. A great '80s fantasy movie, I thought. It's plainly old, as the special effects show, but I like those old '80s SFX anyhow, at least better than CGI.

Watched Father of the Bride w/ Steve Martin for the millionth time last night, why can't they make good comedies like this any more? Seems like all comedies these days are just trashy. I still find some of them funny, but do they all have to be uncomfortable and rude?

The action in this movie was great, but everything else seemed a bit lacking. Then again, I'm not too into movies where I never feel like the main character could fail.

This movie did two things that I've seen done much better in a movie that isn't related in any way to immortals.

1) Cutting off the tounge
2) epic hammer fight scene

Oldboy does both of these much better imo.

Cheesiest song ever. Well, Erasure's Always might be cheesier, not sure. "Open your eyes, I see / your eyes are open" Wow. Just wow.

Have a feeling that 'Rises' will be heavily influenced by "The Dark Knight Returns", maybe mixing in a little "Knightfall"....predicting a shot of the iconic 'Bane breaking Batman's back' image in the film. Also wondering if Robin will be introduced, or other successors, like the Sons of the Batman from TDKR.
