Your Top 10 32X Games

Post by o.pwuaioc »

So, s1mplehumar tricked me into buying a 32X  , and now I'm looking for some good games for it. As far as I've checked, there hasn't been any "top 32X games" list yet, so I figured now would be as good of a time to see what forum members here thought.

So, what are your top 10 32X games?

And there's a reason for that....

Honestly, there are some good games but most seem to have better ports on the SNES or plain ol' Genesis.

I do like Blackthorne, Doom, Knuckles' Chaotix, Mortal Kombat II, Space Harrier, Virtua Fighter, Virtua Racing Deluxe, and Zaxxon's Motherbase 2000.

For some reason I really want to get Pitfall, is it much different than the Genesis version.

I disagree that the SNES or Genesis have better ports of the 32x games...the 32x has pretty much the best cart-based arcade ports from the era.

I've played every game for the sytem, and in no order my top 13 (sorry) would be:

Virua Racing Deluxe
Mortal Kombat Ii
Blackthorne
Star Wars
Shadow Squadron
Doom
Space Harrier
Afterburner
Night Trap
Tempo
NBA Jam TE
Zaxxon Motherbase 2000
Kolibri

Granted only about half of those are exclusives, but all the ports are the best you can play on a 16 bit system.

..and if your into WWF Wrestling games back in the 16 bit era, WWE Raw for 32X is the best version out of the LJN series. more moves, more characters. thought i wished they had a create a player back then....or someone can hack the rom of this game and put in the current guys on the roster. :P

I'd say the 32x is worth it just so you dont see the rainbow banding the standalone Genesis has.

My top 9 (only have 9 games):

1. Knuckles Chaotix
2. Kolibiri
3. Mortal Kombat II
4. Virtua Racing DX
5. Virtua Fighter
6. Shadow Squadron
7. Star Wars Arcade
8. Metal Head
9. Doom

I like the 32x cause of the better picture quality I get for my Genesis games and the top 8 games I listed. Doom sucks on the 32x. I mean really sucks.

Yes, but not compared to the other 16-bit versions (SNES and GBA).
