Yes and no. As far as puzzles go in most cases they will give you ridiculously obvious hints. Enemies are pretty challenging to fight, though, you DEFINITELY can't button mash on a lot of them.
Well that's good to hear I suppose. Zelda puzzles have never really been THAT hard to begin with, but at least the enemies won't be pushovers.

Possibly, but I doubt they'll fully replace traditional controllers. I they'll probably co-exist a lot better than they do now though, I mean the Wii U controller is (more or less) a traditional controller with a fuck-huge screen on it. I'm guessing this means that most games are going to have a traditional control option.

Just finished the first boss and I'm loving the game.

I really like the more challenging combat, the art style, music and storyline, the fact that I can sprint (although I miss rolling everywhere), a quick travel system from the start, upgradable weapons, flying on the bird and the beatle is really cool as well. The beacons and dowsing are a nice additition and so is the option to remove all the uneccasary stuff from the HUD.

I'm not sure about the stamina system though, it doesn't really bother me but I'm not sure what it adds to the gameplay.

As for the motion controls - the way the combat works its hard to see how it could be acheived with just pressing buttons and a lot of the puzzles seem to utilize it as well. And not it a tacked on waggle you hands kind of way either.

What do people think of the soundtrack CD? I had a listen last night and it sounded fantastic.

Having all you guys talking about how great it is just makes it all the more agonizing that I have to wait until wednesday morning to pick it up.

Blagh, I guess I can finish playing through Catherine in the mean time.

I played about 2 hours of this last night via Dolphin emu @ 1080p I know my $69 bundle wasn't in vain, but man is it hard to go back.

I just started playing this tonight. I am playing this on a standard 4:3 crt and the first thing I noticed is that the entire game is hard-coded to 16:9. This means that the video resolution on my TV is sub-standard def. Thanks, Nintendo. I could set the Wii to 16:9 mode and try using the 16:9 squeeze on my TV, but it is manually controlled, so I'd have to go into the menus every time I play this game only. No other games do this.

Second thing I noticed, and probably due to the first thing, the in-game text looks like shit. I remember reading complaints about Xenoblade having the same problem on 4:3 TVs. Thanks again, Nintendo.

Also, I can't believe they kept in the ghostly remote outline on the right side to constantly tell you what the button functions are. I was sure that Nintendo didn't think we were that retarded and this feature was strictly for the E3 demo. Nope! Apparently, gamers are so stupid that we can't remember to press 1 for our inventory and + for the map.
