Captain America: The First Avenger! I thought it was a pretty good superhero flick. I liked Iron Man better though. Still need to see the second one of that. Not familiar with the comics at all so I have no idea if they got it right or not. I thought it was fun.

^ awesome movie! The sequel wasn't bad, either.. (The third one though was unnecessary..)
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
Agree on puppet master. The puppets were awesome but everything else sucked.
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
I'm married.
So the wife wanted to go see the new Twilight.
Look, let me just say this. I'm not even going to comment on how ridiculous this film series or book series is. But I will say this about the er... filming of this film.
There is a 10 second scene where they show a trash can lid close.
I want to clarify: I mean at some point, the director said "ACTION!" and they focused their cameras, audio equipment and lighting at a trash can - to show the lid go *creeeeeeeeeeeeak* and then close. And the closing of the lid literally lasts about 8 seconds. They used money to film this sequence. They used part of their budget to film this scene. And what's worse is they establish this trash can right before this lid-closing scene. We know it's there because the director also said "lets go ahead and shoot the trash can again. But this time, lets show the lid closing."
I could feel brain cells dying while in the theater.

Went and saw Immortals today. It's pretty...average. But it does have some cool action scenes and gore effects.

Best ten seconds of the film?indecks wrote:

I haven't seen any of the Twilight movies, but to be honest, I kind of want to see at least one of 'em. If they're "funny bad" I'm all up for it, but if they're just terrible movies I'll pass.
So what is it about the series? Hot guys? Great story? Amazing effects? I'm out of the loop on this one.
On Topic: "They look like big strong hands, don't they?"
edit* Diablo Cody wrote a script for a SWEET VALLEY HIGH movie? I'm so in. Hopefully the Babysitters Club is up next.

I think the appeal lies in the fact that the camera follows a more feminine viewpoint, which is almost unheard of in cinema. It's a film where men have to take on the viewing position of a woman, rather than vice versa. Shame about the mixed messages it gives due to its frankly laughable patriarchal story.
