I gave up on Guntz pretty quick cuz he kept dying in one hit. Same with Domingo. Maybe I should try them again.
Guntz and Domingo are 2 of my strongest characters

Agreed. Guntz just about kills everything in one move pretty often with his double hits, high defense, and he hits really hard, and I haven't even promoted him yet. Domingo's HP and MP are skyrocketing really fast and he's still only like level 5 or something for me but both stats are in the 30's or something topped off with his defense that puts some of the fighters to shame even, and he's already developing good magic. Basically what Jmustang1968 said, Domingo rocks.

I looked it up and yeah Domingo can't be promoted, so you're probably right on that and yeah I can imagine Guntz is really good when promoted.

It seems challenging promoting people to an extent though since their stats do drop a bit at first, so it seems like it'd be a good idea to just promote a few people at a time. Least that's how I'm doing it. I also want to guess this isn't a game where you really max out characters or it's not really needed? If that's the case then all the more reason why you probably don't have to wait until 20 to promote people.

I promoted Zylo and Luke for the first battle in chapter 6. Definitely going to have to build up Zylo again, but Luke is rocking already with his Heat Axe and Power Amulet, heh.

I am not one to ask. I am probably unique in that I level up the entire force and egress until I get everyone to a certain level threshold or near enough, each battle. Then I choose my party to win it based on enemies and terrain and such.

I already know the story, and of course it isnt great or anything. So my enjoyment from the game comes from developing all the characters.

When leveled up he is a tank to physical damage. On the last couple battles he was only taking 1 damage from anyone that hit him with a weapon. He is a little weaker with magic, he will take 8-15 damage from magic attacks. Whats great about him is that he is a tank that can fly AND other than Max he is the first (second after Max) character that enemies flock too.

To summarize he is a tank, he can fly and move fast, and he draws a crowd of enemies... Plus he is a mage who specializes in ice magic.

Slightly off topic but I have to ask.... How similar to SF is Final Fantasy Tactics. I have already beat SF1 & 2 and right now I am still in a SF mode, but don't want to play SFCD or SF3 since they are in my basement. I have a copy of FFT and am debating on playing it on my PS3. So... how similar is it and would I enjoy FFT?
