Game Database Testers Wanted:Dreamcast, Sega CD, 32X experts

Post by racketboy »

Ok, if all goes well, I will be loading the data for the Dreamcast, Sega CD, and 32X into the game database system.
I could use about three people to help do some alpha testing.

While this iteration of the DB should have a decent amount of features, this will be the first time I've used it since my programmer has added a bunch of stuff and the first time with a decent amount of real data in it.

At this point it will not be very polished, but I want to put it through its paces to determine what user-interface tweaks should be made and if its handling/presenting the game data the way I would want.

Having a few extra people to give their input could be very valuable. My goal is to make is extremely easy and enjoyable to browse, edit, and add data so you may think of something I haven't.

If you are interested in trying this out and have decent knowledge of these Sega systems, please post here.
I will choose a max of three people and if I have more volunteers than that, I will probably choose based number of posts and such.

Thanks!

cool -- btw -- this isn't a huge time commitment or anything.
It's as much as you want to make it.

If you just want someone to look through the database and make sure things are correct I know enough about the dreamcast.

I know Dreamcast fairly well, and I own lots of original games. Also, I'm taking classes on web usability and information architecture, so I'll be sure to be honest rather than polite ;)

That's what I want -- especially at this point.

I can do 32x. I know lots about it (except that d@mn buzzy noise), own every game made for it (except 1 or 2 elusive titles). I can also do my fair share of the Saturn as well.

I can be an alternate if needed. I know Nintendo pretty decently, but know my way around the Sega stuff.

I can do it. I'm pretty much a Sega freak. Genesis does what Nintendon't after all.
Somebody sell me a model 1 modchip for Saturn. Please.
