Video Game "Look what I found"
Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
I picked up a box full of Amiga stuff today for $20, which included a working Amiga 500, an external floppy drive, a MIDI interface, third-party mouse and a Wico joystick. I don't have any games for it so far, but I'm hoping to rectify that situation after Xmas. I also picked up a Sound Blaster 16 card and some miscellaneous stuff for my DOS PC and modding supplies at the same place, bringing everything to a total of $33.

It was at a computer store in Sunnyvale called WeirdStuff Warehouse. They've got loads of great stuff if you're into classic computing, most of the parts that went into my DOS PC came from there.sevin0seven wrote:thrift store, yard sale or?ApolloBoy wrote:I picked up a box full of Amiga stuff today for $20, which included a working Amiga 500, an external floppy drive, a MIDI interface, third-party mouse and a Wico joystick. Ooh, wish I'd known in May as the friends I was vacationing with live in Sunnyvale. Must remember for next visit that direction.ApolloBoy wrote:It was at a computer store in Sunnyvale called WeirdStuff Warehouse.

@ ApolloBoy - Great find on the Amiga! Can you add the address and phone number to the Retro Store Directory? Maybe your quick review on what is all inside the store?Hobie-wan wrote:Ooh, wish I'd known in May as the friends I was vacationing with live in Sunnyvale. Its a nicely drawn game, superb visuals. Way too much text for my patience level. I got my copy off ebay (yamatoku) for $8 shipped from JP. Avoid the insane buy now's - it never does more than $10-15 at auction.
A game that is prettier and much easier to navigate, i'd recommend Napple Tale.

Against my own principles I paid 40 bucks shipping in for this one...
And that was still much cheaper than all the other links I found...
Shit...
