It is possible. In the first battle Narsha is a bit weak but Zuika appears. Instead of going straight for the win condition tour around the map and kill everyone for experience, grab the chest items for shower cures to heal.

Narsha gets ally-boosting spells. Use those in the following battles. I was even able to kill the strong sea-bound creature. You then get a 3rd character with high defense (but not high attack). Be very careful in the last mission of this type though (I described my issues earlier in the thread).

Ok, this is embarrassing...

I have spent a good half hour or more trying to figure out how to get into the castle in Alterone after the third battle in the game. Every time I enter the castle the guards stop me and tell me the king is meeting with someone. I have talked to everyone in both towns, have gone everywhere I can imagine, etc. What do I need to do?

You need to make sure you have talked to everyone in Alterone castle again. ;) I think the trigger is a girl in green named Khris, but I'm not sure exactly.

I don't remember WHO but yes, it's definitely someone in the castle that triggers the guards moving.

Ok, I think I've talked to everyone but I'll go look for the bar again. Thanks for the tip.

I finished just now. The new characters in the GBA version are really good by the way (except Zuika, which is mostly crap unless you manage to have him below 50% health and keep him - alive - that way).

Other than that, unlike others here I actually like the archers (all three). They can strike from 3 away and they get pretty decent attack if you buy them good weapons. Some of you have been raving about units that can't equip weapons such as Gong and Zylo. Indeed early on they are good or even great, but at the end post-promotion they seemed to become a bit poor I think (Domingo is very good anyway as he is a spellcaster and Mawlock uses cards).
Adam (late game unit) did seem to get very high attack anyway if you leveled him up, Bleu I think should also but it wasn't happening for me (maybe I got randomly unlucky).

The three archers where very useful in the end game for the extremely high HP bosses. You just have to keep them safe as usually 1 hit kills them.

agreed. I've kept all 3, promoted them and given them those exploding gun weapons. They're pretty great for long range attacks. Hans is the weakest, but once promoted he does just fine.

I love Zylo though. He's a machine, especially once promoted. Gong sucks though. I stopped using him a while ago.
