Good to see folks on here actually enjoying the game. I know it's hip to hate on Bethesda. :P I'm just wondering if any of the haters have given Skyrim a proper chance. Oh well, I can't force anyone to enjoy a fantastic game.

So far I haven't run into any significant glitches in the game. I was unable to complete a minor quest with a few Hargreaves but I think that's it. Honestly, I think a game of this scale and ambition is bound to have glitches galore. The game is massive and teaming with life. I'm not excusing Bethesda of their goofs and neglect, but I just don't see it as a deal breaker like so many here have said.

Some screenies from my game...

1920x1200 (native) Ultra, everything maxed w/ some enhanced texture mods:

My PS3 version was beginning to glitch. So glad I upgraded to the PC version. The difference in performance and graphics is amazing (even on my cheapo laptop/TV via HDMI). And my save files aren't growing bigger and bigger until the game is broken. :D

Indeed. My younger brothers have the 360 version and it just looks ugly in comparison. No offense to you 360 folks.

It's steam. That's it.
Still DRM though. There's no reason I should have to register for a Steam account to play this. Also, it's ridiculous that people are required to have the internet to play a single-player offline game.

My 360 version has been running perfectly aside from a few freezes (after about 12 hours of playing mind you). I've had the game since 12am, 11.11.11. and have yet to find any glitches. Im running from disc though until they release the patch.

It's completely ridiculous that a company try and protect a game they spent so much time making, but in an effort not to anger dedicated fans who have stayed with the series for ages despite all of the bugs the series is famous for having, chose the least intrusive method that only requires a one-time online verification, and then will instantly give you game patches as they are made while also letting you bypass it by simply running the game from the .exe or in offline mode. It's completely unreasonable. Money grubbing whores.

Seriously they need to release a patch ASAP. It's basically the menu lag that's bugging me a lot off and on. If that's fixed with installing the game, then heck yeah... but yeah until the fix the textures/other issues or whatever, I'm impatiently waiting.

Patch is coming week after Thanksgiving.

You really haven't stated why any of this requires a Steam account though.

I realize I'm complaining about a small inconvenience, but it's something that compounds pretty quickly when every PC game seems to require an account at a different site (I had to create Kalypso Media and EA accounts for the last two games I purchased). I'm not boycotting Skyrim, I'll just be getting a console version instead.
