48 is a steal with the top loader.
You should totally sell that Kirby in the b/s/t forum.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
More NES cartridges at Goodwill, I swear they are hoarding them in the back and slowly stocking them. I left behind a couple ugly looking SNES and N64 sports games, but picked up three NES games:
Bases Loaded
Jordan Vs. Bird
Commando
All were $2 each, clean and have unblemished labels. The two sports games are no big deal, but Commando was a teenage favorite. Over twenty years ago a classmate ditched school, went to the mall, shoplifted Metroid and Commando, then returned and offered them to me in exchange for doing his homework for a few weeks. Win-win.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Nice clean Dreamcast, 2 controllers (one grey, one blue) 1 third party memory card, 2 rumble paks- 20.99 goodwill. I already have 2 lol, but like I just mentioned in an earlier post, I cant help but rescue these! Bonus inside the console was a burned copy of Tennis 2k2 with a printed out label on it haha!

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Game Store:
Crimson Skies (complete)
MechAssault (complete, but case insert is a little fugly)
Free!
They were a belated birthday present. Mom got me the Xbox, but no games since she didn't know what I'd like, so she insisted on taking me to the store to pick out a couple things I'd like.

Thrift:
GB Player disk+Manual - $2.50
Wolverine GB Advanced Case - $1
SP case - $0.25
Extra S-video cord - $1
Gamestop Xbox controller - $1
Goodwill:
Cassette tape holder for more Genesis carts - $2
Abe's Oddysee - $1
Abe's Exoddus - $1
Serious Sam - $1

Sheriff's Thrift store:
Phillips CD-i+2 controllers+Mouse with housing+Motion track controller (for the kiddy games I suppose)+Various manuals+the following:
Games:
Voyeur
International Tennis Open
A Great Day at the Races
The Wacky World of Miniature Golf (with Eugene Levy)
CD Shoot
Battleship
Power Hitter
Tetris
Pin Ball
Jigsaw
Video Speedway
Mystic Midway
Palm Springs Open
Caesars World of Gambling
Kid Games/Distractions:
Sandy's Circus Adventure
Children's Musical Theatre
Cartoon Jukebox
Paint School II
Extra goodies I will go through later:
Classical Jukebox
Beauty and the Beast (Interactive Storybook Adventure)
Harvest of the Sun (Vincent Van Gogh Revisited)
Mozart: A Musical Biography
Treasures of the Smithsonian
$35
Not sure if it was a great deal or not, but it's certainly something interesting to add to the collection. I actually saw the games before I saw the player. Then I realized what they were sitting on and went
. While I was standing there looking through everything one of the workers comes up behind me:
Him: "Hey, yeah that thing's pretty cool. You know what it is?"
Me: "Yep." *trying to put disk back into box*
Him: "Yeah. It's like a really early Playstation-type thing. We were playing with it earlier."
Me: *Ah ha. It works...wait, "Playstation-thing?".....Never mind.* (Note: I had already plugged it in. No worries) Sold.
And then he helped me lug all that stuff to the counter.....Now I just have to figure out what to do with the damn thing....It's more cumbersome than the Xbox

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Not huge deals, but today's worthwhile purchases:
- Brandish (SNES, cart only): $16.80 at a retro game store I visited for the first time today. Rest of the store was a disappointment however, dusty and filthy with obnoxious neckbeard dudes loitering everywhere.
- Buck Rogers: Planet of Zoom (Atari 2600, cart only in great shape): 99 cents at Goodwill.
- Phantasy Star Portable: $9.99 for a brand new copy, Toys R Us.
PASSED UP: A Christian thrift store had some old 5 1/4 inch IBM PC games, Commander Keen and a couple others. I thought about getting them, but I'd have no means to play them and I'm trying to avoid purchasing things that are just going to collect dust. Hope someone else enjoys them.
