I'm willing to bet that none of us happily married guys got that way by seeking relationship advice on the web.

I found IRC to be much more helpful in that regard.

Oh, I quite understand, it's the reason why I'm so blunt! I have been in your shoes and the few clear messages were a godsend, on the very least they made me think about the topic enough to really wonder if I was doing right.

But you are not a "tool" nor come across at one. You seem interested in actually learning instead of just being told nice lies And it's not faint praise either, when it comes to dating almost no one accepts they could do more!

As long as you keep challenging yourself you will learn. Girls come easy after that.
Usually, I show people I care through huge, openly symbolic actions -- dating is a totally different science where it seems to be all about finding endless meaning in the smallest things.
Oh, I really understand you there, I think I used to be the same. In the end I wouldn't say it's about big or small things, it's about the whole picture. If you have a couple of good moments but between them you are boring the overal impression isn't going to be very good. And there are more "small" moments than big ones so they are the biggest source of improvement. Not that they are exclusive, if you have better small moments it's more likely you have a big one.

I understand it like the difference between being funny and making jokes. I'm not sure if the analogy is good but it works for me =p
So, it's just a bit of an unnatural approach for me, I guess. In terms of my nerves, I'll try and put things into perspective a little more next time.
Just have a good time! After all, dating can be very fun! 8)

I think it's going fine. Go bowling next time. Everybody likes bowling except the people that don't.

I don't have much advice to give. Just don't try to act in a certain way, act like you normally would and if you both like each other everything will fall into place.

That was both the most hilarious and most annoying thread I ever read. Niode's last comment was fucking hilarious!... ><

And by annoying I mean all the guys that had to shit on both bud and zuma and think they are wiser and better because they are older and have a girlfriend / wife. Seriously, some guys here need to get off their pedestal and start being a bit more down to earth. We all stink after we shat guys. There's no exceptions...

As for the OP, good luck. Don't stress too much and just try to enjoy yourself... ^^
